Great place to stay.

Beautiful place. Our room looked different then the one of the pictures we booked, that was a it disappointing. We especially booked this hotel for safe parking places, as we had a car full of stuff. Unfortunately, that was only for electric cars, so we smuggled in 😅. Dogs are welcome in the hotel but not in the restaurants (understandable for the Michelin star one). We had dinner in the other restaurant which was great, excellent food and service for a very good price. Including the view on the lake.

Good stay

Lovely hotel, good facilities, tasty breakfast. Argentinian lady at breakfast was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting with nice pool. Comfortable bed but room was dark. Receptionists were not too friendly.

Very unfortunate that there was no restaurant available on Sunday. Also the hotel restaurant needs to be reserved before you get to the hotel if not you have to look for some place where to have dinner because during weekend usually is completely booked. The rest of our stay was good, place is beautiful and town is close by and very beautiful.

I don't have a bad word to say about this hotel. From the greeting when we arrived (including a mini tour to make sure we knew where everything was), to the stunning view over Lake Annecy from our balcony and the gorgeous room including huge bed and comfy sheets, everything was spot on. The walk to the old town is about 20 minutes - just enough to walk off a big dinner and not enough to need a taxi. Will definitely be returning!

Early christmas decorations in February! Or...

A top notch hotel! A lovely view, high standard and nice surroundings outside (+1 km from old town) the hotel. However we were surprised that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, one of the USP is the restaurant. In winter time, not walking distance to other restaurants (old town), and no taxis, Bolt or Uber!

2/10 Poor

The stay was supposed to be the last “hoorah” of our trip. I proposed to my girlfriend on our trip so was looking so forward to our stay. When we arrived to say we were underwhelmed is an understatement. The paint was peeling and the hotel looked like it was 140 years old. The website pics were beautiful and made the grounds look big and grand. But that was not the case. We also had to walk through a forest to get to the lake that was not lit up so was dangerous when walking back in the dark. We were told it was public property but then it shouldn’t be made available to their guests. They also wanted to charge 2 euros to play foosball which was outrageous. It was terrible value for the money they charged and made our last days not as special as we hoped.
Daron, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The property from the outside was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the carpeting in the room was very stained from spilles. We selected this resort as the said they had air conditioning. The unfortunate issue is they turn it off for the season. Our room was 28 to 30 celcius, we had to open the outside doors to try and get the temperature down. I call the front desk and the lady explained it was shut down for the year and there was nothing that could be done, just to make sure everything was turned off. No resolution or fans, just basically deal with it. The hotel need to put in their description that they do shut their air conditioning off for the season so people know what to expect, as we would not have stayed there knowing they shut it down.
John, 3-night trip

Lovely setting - odd service

The hotel is situated above the lake & really has some nice views. However! The service lets it down, the people on reception were friendly & a couple of the wait staff too. However!I was told the bar was open till midnight every day- one night I had a terrible headache & wanted a soft drink/more water for my room (around 11:30)I was refused and told it was “impossible!” Very rude & abrupt & made no sense as we were AT the bar. For almost £300 a night, the service was atrocious. The veggie menu I was exited about at the Michelin restaurant “doesn’t exist anymore”There is nothing vegan, and very few vegetarian options. If you’re at the pool; you must get dressed & go to formal salon bar to get a drink,no service to the pool, no casual dining options throughout the day- only limited snacks at the bar inside in the formal area. This seems such a shame as there’s lovely views outside in summer & lots of tables? There were so many obvious things missed. No mini bar items or snacks in the rooms. I ordered some pink ‘champagne’ at the bar that was is in fact just cheap €10 wine and they charge €50. Was lots of noise from a wedding one evening, this stopped then started again at 12!I was kept awake till 3am with noise from a neighbouring property the same day. The wedding group were horribly loud in the spa too. Could be wonderful if the dining/bar options weren’t so disjointed. Town is 25 min walk or so- but be warned it is a steep incline. Taxi £14-£20 for a 5/10 min journey.
Krystal, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Beautiful hotel, poor service

Beautiful hotel with fantastic views, unfortunately the overall experience was spoilt by the poor service we received. The bar staff were very slow to serve you, staff were often missing from the bar and had a lack of knowledge of what drinks they had available. To top it off I ordered a vodka and coke which came with no vodka! Drinks were very expensive - a very small Cappuccino costs 7 euros. We had an issue with the bath not draining, when the staff came to fix the problem, they removed the plug plate with a screwdriver and said to call them if we had any further issues (which we were bound to have as it happened every time you wanted a bath) - not the kind of service I would expect for a hotel costing over 300 euros a night. Cleaning staff didn’t replenish stocks of coffee and milk and when we queried this, we were told you had to ask everyday for them due to the hotel’s plastic eco policy, this seemed ridiculous to us, because if you they replenished the stocks and they weren’t used surely they could be put back into central stock? For us it sounded more like stinginess, than being eco friendly. The pool and sun lounger area was great and the local area was very nice, but if I return would look for alternative accommodation.

4/10 Fair

I was really looking forward to staying here and it was going to be the relaxing end to a busy holiday. When we arrived at lunchtime feeling very hungry we were told both restaurants are closed on a Monday and that if we wanted food we had to walk 20 mins into Annecy. (Subsequently I found out we could have had room service but that wasn’t offered.) When we got into our standard room it was tiny. There wasn’t even a cupboard to unpack our case into. Just 5 hangers. So we lived out of our suitcases having to manoeuvre around them. Our balcony was not an enjoyable place to sit as we had two sets of workmen outside with a digger. The rest of the hotel is beautiful and the terraces by the swimming pool have a stunning view of the lake. Housekeeping were lovely and could not have been more helpful. There is no service by the pool you have to go in and order (drinks, no food again) and then nothing is cleared until the end of the day. All in all this did not feel luxury. I happened to meet the owner who asked about my stay. I told her my concerns and she offered me a massage at the spa or use of their bikes neither of which were suitable for me. She then said she would recompense us some other way but when I came to pay the bill there was no form of compensation. Which again was disappointing. This was not the luxury end to my holiday I had hoped for.
