The location is very convenient. Near the central station. The train track to the Arland Airport is just at the bottom of the hotel practically. Though the room size is smaller than the Comfort Express hotel room we stayed in Oslo during this vacation trip.

Basic but very comfy rooms

We were able to check in early and the hotel staff gave us a higher room with an accesible toilet since they noticed my family member has down syndrome. I think this was very welcoming on their part it was appreciated Temperature controls in room not the easiest but even though it was hot outside it was not too hot during the night. Only complaint I have is more hooks for towels needed in bathroom

Comfort by name...

Great location next to the bus and train station. After arriving on the Flygbussarna, it was a 3 minute walk around the corner to the hotel. Despite road works and alterations, we had no disturbance in our room, which was small but perfectly functional and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Easy walk to Gamla Stan and other areas of the city. We are booked at other Comfort hotels in Norway, and hope they are as good as this one. If so, we'll be more than happy.

A no for us

For those not familiar with the European Comfort Xpress brand: The compact double room is very small (maybe 8 ft by 8 ft). The bed is flush with the walls on three sides, requiring one person to climb over the other to get in and out of bed. The “desk” is a fold down board and the desk chair is a folding chair. There is no room to have your suitcase open, no rug, no closet, just 2 hangers and some pegs on the wall. It costs extra to have the room cleaned more often than every 4th day. Our Stockholm room wasn’t very clean - the floor was dusty and dirty, the shower grout was mildewy. The shower gets most of the bathroom floor wet (seems to be a recurring problem in most hotel bathrooms), and there isn’t a bath mat (but we could get an extra towel when we asked). Windows did keep out most of the city noise. Other than the location, not much to recommend with this hotel. This is the second Comfort Xpress we’ve stayed at, and our last. Just a bit too bare bones for us.
