Nice but Very Small, Close to MRT

The hotel was in a location convenient to walking and close to the MRT. I booked the smallest room, and it was very compact. With just myself it was fine, but with two people it would have been extremely cramped. The floor was unfinished in one spot and looked more like a basement floor. The shower and the toilet share the same stall, which I didn’t love. However, it was a good price, it was clean, and the AC worked. Staff was great and gave me a Halloween goody bag upon check out.

Currently, singapore's hotel fee has increased, so i had no choice but to stay at reasonable price accomodation. If you are sensitive to noise or tall, maybe uncomfortable.

Could easily hear activity in other rooms and hall through the door. Earplugs were needed to get a good night's sleep. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Loved so much about this hotel, the area, location, staff, and cleanliness, but they should be more up front in their pictures and description that the TOILET IS INSIDE THE SHOWER of ALL ROOMS. Had I known that I would’ve never stayed there.

Nice and cozy

Hotel very nice and good location, the rooms also nice even they're very small. only problem very strict on check out time 11 maximum 12 and after that thet charge 25$ each our. In my opinion to strict. I arrived 12 at night and was asked to leave at 11 with a terrible jet lack

8/10 Very good

The hotel is ideally located in central Singapore close to Chinatown/CBD and minutes from the river and Clarke Quay. Lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance. Well connected with the MRT and buses. The room was very comfortable and cleaned regularly, the shower was particularly good. It is a very compact room but that is to be expected. The only issue was there were renovations going on on the particular floor I was staying which meant quite a bit of coming and going but other than that the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend staying

Wouldn’t stay again

When arriving in our room it unfortunately was not clean at all, there was a smell of damp, open drink can on windowsill, hairs in the bathroom, stains on the sheet and dust everywhere! The girls on reception were very apologetic and immediately moved us rooms to an upgraded room. Whilst it was better, there was still a few issues. We knew the room would be small but there isn’t much space to move around at all/store suitcases. The shower being in the same ‘room’ as the toilet also wasn’t ideal as the toilet would get soaked and the toilet roll would need to be taken out as it would often get soggy. Whilst in an okay location we would not stay here again as we didn’t feel it was good value for money and impacted our view of the city!

This is a very small budget hotel. That said, it provides all the things a basic hotel does - towels, toiletries, some snacks, bottled water, etc. It also has a mini fridge, TV, and thermos for making coffee/tea. The hotel staff is great. Friendly and helpful. And they are generous with the free bottled water. I guess my only real issue with it is its room size. It is very, very small. If you have more than one luggage, which I did, you could not open both at the same time. In fact, I had to close my suitcase and had it standing ao that housekeeping could open the door and get insde. This is ideal for short-time, budget travelers. The location is really great. It’s my favorite thing about it and it makes up for all the hassle I experienced with the room size. One end of the block is Boat Quay and the other end is Clarke Quay. The train station and bus stops are just a few minutes’ walk. The area also seems safe. It’s not a busy street.

2/10 Poor

Major disappointment!

Travelled from Canada so not really familiar with hotel rooms in Asia. First impression as we entered the building from the street was good. Looked like a boutique hotel. Up to 5th floor to reception. Very small reception area. But nothing compared to the size of the room! Like a postage stamp. Maybe 2.5 m x 3 meters with a king bed. Luckily there was space at the foot of the bed to place suitcases. We were travelling 2 weeks in Asia so each had one piece of luggage plus one carryon. Had very limited space to hang clothing, 4 hangers and no space for more. No drawer space. Power receptacles were located clear across the king size bed so that meant climbing right the bed to access. One chair, not built for comfort at all. Countertop was about 1 meter long with sink, tea kettle and supplies plus telephone taking up rest of space. The toilet/shower was adequate. Would be better if sink was in that area, would free up precious counter space. We found the combination of high temp and excessive humidity very difficult to tolerate as we are not accustomed to it. The hotel had an outdoor sitting area by office. Patio furniture with no cushions and no shade. Plus very messy with plants that they sell. Jacuzzi on upper floor, a real mess. So no place to have down time to cool off. With a bit of money and some planning, the hotel could be a boutique hotel. But as it is, I would rate it less than 3 star. $270 per night, what a disappointment. Holiday Inn offers way more for same $

6/10 Good

Conveniently located, but poor facilities in room

The coffee maker was useless. The coffee pods didn't fit in the machine properly and the cup didn't fit in the receptacle. The room didn't have any window. Pillows on the bed were too firm and too high at least for us (we requested a softer pillow, but there was none) and caused issues sleeping well. The location of the hotel is good though. Room was relatively clean.
The coffee pod kept falling down to the bottom.
Cup doesn't fit the receptacle. Reception gave us plastic cups but they didn't fit either.
Creamer looks weird. The texture and consistency looks strange. Is this normal in Singapore?
