Great stay in a central area!

The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. They offered tips on what to do and called and scheduled a taxi service to pick me up for my early morning flight. The balcony is such a wonderful bonus to the room, and it is close to the main attractions and marina.

This hotel far surpassed my expectations. The staff were SO nice and helpful. The room had great AC. There is a rooftop terrace for breakfast with great views of the bay, and a nice common area with a balcony, which again has great views. The property has 4 stories which means many of the rooms have views too. It's also basically as central as you can get. Highly recommend. Amazing value.

Posado del Mar was a wonderful stay, perfect for my travels. Very clean, good location, the host was friendly and helpful and kind. The facilities were in great condition. I stayed coming and going from Isabela and it could not have been better. I would stay there again for sure. Very highly recommended, everything was fantastic!

Safe area and building, clean and spacious rooms. Nice balcony over looking the bay, there is also a nice shared dining/living area where you can prepare your own food. Beach towels are available at no extra cost, there’s coffee in the mornings in the lobby. The breakfast was a great addition. What really stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They would do anything to help, were warmly greeted on every occasion. I asked for laundry to be done and this only cost $3. Very good price. I’d highly recommend staying here, the Galápagos Grill next door is perfect for snacks and meals. Thank you.

I liked the owner, Carlos & his staff because they were very kind, helpful & accommodating!! We felt very welcome & appreciated. We had everything we could possibly need and more for our stay! We stayed at the Posada del Mar three different times during our month in the Galapagos and really enjoyed our visits. It is on a quiet street, yet conveniently located near restaurants, shops and the Puerto Ayora harbor. The delicious breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the harbor. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, a private bathroom and lots of hot water. The staff is very friendly. Carlos and his wife were wonderful and let us store our luggage at the office during the hours between checkout and our ferry departures and arranged for a taxi to take us to the Baltra airport. Muchas gracias, Posada del Mar!

Great location and value for a clean, safe and comfortable stay in Puerto Ayora. Good fresh breakfast on the rooftop with a great view to start the day. Owner Carlos is very helpful in recommendations and meeting guest needs. Our room was spacious and clean. Water refill station in common areas. Easy 5-7 minute walk to ferry and most restaurants within 10-15 minutes. We will return in a few days for another few nights.

Perfect transit hotel

This was the perfect transit hotel. It is located 1.5 small blocks from the pier, where you pick up the ferry to San Cristobal. It is clean and spacious with a refrigerator and a view of the harbor and pier. The gentleman at the front desk carried all our luggage up and down the stairs for us, even at 6am! It was a very welcoming visit.

Jose was lovely and the property was in a very good location, close to the marina. There were also two delicious restaurants downstairs, one open until 9 PM. However, it was a very basic three star hotel room. Our room backed onto a school, which was very noisy early in the morning and they played football late into the evening. Decent value for a rustic, basic stay.
