Just a 4-minute walk to the Plaza De Armas — very convenient for tour pickups at the hotel. The reception staff were friendly, and the breakfast was good. I arrived at 6:30 AM, and the staff kindly offered us the buffet breakfast and stored our luggage. We walked around the Plaza and returned to the hotel at 11 AM, and they allowed us to check in early.

Breakfast is amazing with lots of fresh options. There is a spa on site as well. The location is very convenient to the main square. The room and building is peaceful and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and kind!

I was extremely impressed with my room (I had a king size bed [the bedding was amazing!] with a balcony on 2nd floor). Loved all the intricate woodwork everywhere in hotel, the lobby vaulted ceiling, breakfast facility and super attentive staff. I mostly appreciated the on-site massage studio..was the perfect way to unwind from long day of traveling! Would definitely choose this place again!

Fair stay

Hotel is in excellent location near main plaza. I’m thinking all hotels close to main square have same level of noise, traffic into the night. Hotel is older so not much noise reduction from windows if your used to modern hotels. Walls are thin and floor is squeaky but our neighbors were quiet. Pillow was too thick for my comfort. Excellent view from third floor.

Great unique hotel, large rooms

Our stay here was good. The room was very large and worked well for us. The architecture is fantastic with antiques and paintings everywhere. Some of amenities aren't necessarily modern or the best, but the hotel isn't designed to be the latest and greatest

Good option for Cusco

A unique hotel with special atmosphere, furniture and accessories. Only a few minutes walk to Plaza de Armas. It was a little old though.

Location is great, but be ready for stairs

My recent stay at Hotel Casona Corrales in Cusco was a mix of highs and lows. On the positive side, the location is truly fantastic. It’s a very easy walk to the main Plaza de Armas and all the nearby attractions like the Cathedral and the charming San Blas neighborhood. The proximity to local shops and restaurants made exploring the town incredibly convenient. Our room offered beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and even the square. The property itself has a wonderful, elegant colonial vibe, and the staff were consistently helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The on-site spa was also a nice perk after a long day of sightseeing. However, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. The number of stairs was a major drawback, especially for a room on the top floor. Climbing that many flights, particularly with the effects of altitude, was genuinely tiring. The bathroom was also a bit of a letdown—it was tiny, with hardly any space to move around or hang anything. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was quite unreliable. Again, I want to highlight that the front desk staff were fantastic and super helpful! Ultimately, while the location and aesthetic of Hotel Casona Corrales are great, the issues with the stairs, tiny bathroom, and connectivity problems make it difficult for me to give it a glowing recommendation.

The hotel is very well located. The room was very nice and roomy. The housekeeping could be a bit better. For example, the toilet paper was not replaced on one occasion and dirty glasses were not cleaned. In a few instances, the front desk person was messing around on their phone, which I think looks bad. One of the front desk staff was not familiar with how to get to Machu Picchu which I feel is something they should probably be familiar with, given that it is a major tourist attraction. I think these are easy fixes and overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
