We liked the new cabins, and food was very good in the pub!
William, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was quite large and very comfortable, with plenty of storage. It had a double bed and a single bed (we were in room 3). The steps up to the rooms were quite steep. There was used food in the fridge, which we mentioned to bar staff on a couple of occasions, but it was still not cleared during our stay.

A good review spoiled by The Web!!

The Pods were excellent spoiled by an unfixed toilet roll holder!! Meals were good value Cleanliness in the Inn could be. much better There was a wonderful collection of spider webs behind the wall lights which spoiled things a little! But overall I enjoyed my stay!!

Such a friendly welcome

We needed a bed for the night after coming in late from the ferry and leaving early for our train. We just needed a bed and what we got was a really warm welcome and staff that went out of their way to help and welcome us. Also a very cosy bed and hot choc in the room. Thank you :)
Lauran, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice pub with friendly and helpful staff. Room a bit tired but sufficient for a couple of nights. Could do with a breakfast option as dinner was very good. Well situated for our trip to the Minack Theatre only a short drive away. Would return.

Lovely old pub with lots of atmosphere and friendly staff/owners.

8/10 Very good

Friendly welcome and check in, clean bright room. Good selection of teas/coffee, also toiletries. Great garden! But the bed was very springy so not a great nights sleep
Isobel, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Was a great place to stay. Was a little noisy at night but you are staying over an active pub. Deal with it or don't book it. Easy check in, convient to have an extra beer, great food, not to far from town. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Doug, 1-night trip

Comfortable accommodation but wifi didn’t work

Very comfortable accommodation but wifi didn’t work, which also meant that some of TV service wasn’t available. We were told that if we linked to wifi in the bar area, it would then work in the room, but it didn’t. We ate in the bar in the evening, but we later found much better options for same price in the town centre so I would recommend giving the bar a miss. Good selection of tea, coffee, hot choc in the room. Also a fridge which is always useful.
Kevin, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The cabin was perfect for a one night’s stay. Luckily, we were at a party in town until the early hours because the pub had a band in the garden which was incredibly loud….as was the rain on the roof but hey, can’t really complain about that! The cabin was clean, the coffee making facilities were good and everything you need was in the space.
Ashley, 1-night trip

Nicola and Elliot were fantastic hosts . Went above and beyond for us let us check in early. Pods were so comfortableand clean. everything you needed in them . Fabulous location near to Penzance not far to walk or bus stop outside. Pub was inviting and friendly. Jack the dog was an added bonus definitely be back.
Sarah, 6-night trip

Short break

Lovely pub, great food and beer! Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Would stay again..
Matthew, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice enough but dont go on the weekend

Cabin is nice enough. Comfy bed, was clean, had a fridge. The hot water was pretty dodgy though, coinflip whether it worked or not. Weekdays it was pretty decent. Weekend days though, avoid. Its inbetween the car park and the kids park so we had screaming families and kids kicking footballs over the fence into the cabin area constantly and then asking for it back. Food not amazing but they did cook for us like 15 mins after the kitchen officially closed when they didnt have to so cant complain too much
3-night trip

6/10 Good

We liked being in an old pub building and the large outdoor beer garden with live music. The foyer and stairs up to the rooms were OK but could easily be made more appealing.
Douglas, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Wouldn't stay again

Arrived only 10 minutes early but were made to wait in the bar. Led up to our room along a corridor and stairs loaded with vacuum cleaners and coats. Light only came on when you had reached the top which left you in pitch black. First impressions of the room were, oh dear. But it was clean. Room had a king sized bed and a single, again, clean. Mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Bathroom has to be the smallest I've ever seen. Sink way too big, no room to dry yourself after a shower. Nice selection of tea and coffee but fridge had not been cleaned and had a puddle of milk in it.
