The hotel is in a brilliant location, making the centre of Lyon completely within walking distance. Private and secure parking is available as long as you arrange it beforehand due to limited space. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We look forward to staying in Lyon in future.

Almost Perfect...But

Amazing location. Lovely property. The riverside view rooms, though, come at a price...noise from the bars below all night. Enjoyed as much of Lyon as we could manage on 2-3 hours of sleep each night. Wont go back...peaceful sleep is important.

Le Phenix Hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of the old town area of Lyon. Staff were friendly. The room was clean but the bathroom had a slightly awkward design. We upgraded to a river view room and it did have a view, but the windows were quite high and to be able to see the river you had to stand and peer out. I would probably stay at Le Phenix again but would opt for a lesser priced room as the river view wasn’t worth the extra expense.

This is a lovely place to stay. It is located in a good place to explore both Vieux Lyon and the newer city by foot. It's easily accessible by public transit. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and the room was cozy and clean.

Excellent hotel, with a stunning ground floor entrance/reception. Rooms and hallway a little tired, but it didn’t detract from the stay. If you get a family bedroom make sure you got a proper shower - ours was one over a bath without a shower curtain so it wasn’t the easiest to shower in without water going everywhere. Would definitely stay again if we found ourselves in Lyon.
