We couldn’t access WiFi in our room, and when we asked for additional assistance we were initially given a different WiFi password, but this still didn’t help. We were offered a different room, but it wasn’t as nice. We stayed in our original room the first night as we didn’t want to miss out on seeing Lille by looking at different rooms, but the next morning we asked for a room with working wifi. The man on the front desk wasn’t friendly, and was clearly annoyed that we were causing him additional work! Eventually we agreed on a room that had working WiFi (another room we saw also wouldn’t load WiFi). The new room was ok, but the shower was old and not very powerful, and the lack of a handle on the inside of the shower door meant you couldn’t close it without slamming it - all a bit odd!
The small room fridges are also on the floor, which looks strange.
Just overall the hotel lacks friendly front desk staff, and it’s tired and very dark and isn’t in great decorative condition. At best I’d say it should be a 3-star hotel, sadly not 4-star.
Central location is good for sight-seeing.
The garage attendant was a lot more friendly and helpful than the hotel staff!
