I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived in my room to find that it had been extensively renovated since I last stayed here. Everything in the bathroom was brand new and there was a wide screen tv and new lighting. It was only an overnight stay but I would now stay again.

Clean room small but only stayed 1 night. So no problem.
No restaurant facilities although the website advised one.
Very noisy all throughout the night.

It was ok - it wasn't too expensive and it was really easily located near New St station. The curtains were hanging off the track and the noise from the street (even on the 9th floor) was quite loud.
Apart from that, bed was clean, shower was hot and it was a good nights sleep.

Good hotal next to train station
Made a last minute booking as went out for a meal with a supplier after NEC exhibition and too tired to travel back home same day. Great value via hotels.com £57 for a double bed for 1 person on room 7. Recently refurbished room with nice 55" wall tv and spacious clean bathroom. No nice views outside but quiet for undisturbed sleep

First we were put in a room that hadn’t been vacated so walked in on a couple who were still using the room. Then we were allocated a room that was clearly freshened up but not cleaned- hair in and on the bed, toilet and sink had hairs still on it clearly not enough time was spent cleaning properly. Granted the room looked clean but wasn’t as thorough as expected.

Not a great experience
Great location in the town centre. Close to rail station. Complicated access for Taxis as there are barricades at both ends of the street.
Hotel undergoing rennovation so rooms experienced a lot of noise during the day.
Windows were single glazed, very dated and allowed all external noise in, even from the 6th floor where I was based.

Nite out
Wr stayed here last night. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable.
No communication from the check in clerk. Didn't tell us our room number or floor. The one lift was out of service. And the working lift took forever arrive. During check out time we waited about 20 minutes for the lift but still ended up walking down 5 floors because the lift was rammed. The hotel could do with a face lift as it looks run down. No signage on any floors to indicate where rooms were.

It is priced very cheaply which makes it ok but if you anre expecting any frills then perhaps this is not for you. The entrance is pretty horrible and everything is very basic. The room was fine and that’s why I’d give it 3* rather than less. And it’s cheap.

Poor hotel
Restaurant and bar closed but no for warning. No mirror in the bedroom so hard to use iPad camera to view blow drying hair. Room not serviced in 3 days I stayed. Room noisy.

Building definitely needs some TLC. Even on 6th floor noise from street was obvious. But not complaining as it was very good VFM and what I expected

The only thing that let my experience down was the bar was closed, and the bar was closed for what feels like a very long time the restaurant didn't seem like a real restaurant.

A 3 days 2 nights trip
The hotel are very old and small and the lift are very slow. It takes a long time to go down. It's very noisy in the evening. I can hear my neighbor while they chatting and plug in the adaptor and no shampoo and conditioner provided. I will have to buy it myself, which I will not go back for the other time.
