During our stay, we met the owner, Courtney, who asked if we were enjoying our time. I happily described the Lokal Hotel as a unique and class act experience at the Jersey shore, a fitting trend that I hope catches on at Cape May. We truly felt like guests, not tenants. I travel frequently (mostly work-related) and rarely experience genuine hospitality.
The owners write handwritten notecards welcoming you as a guest.
Makeup towels, robes, outdoor towel racks, modern appliances, deck with outdoor furniture, and beach chairs and umbrella...everything as it should be for a restful stay. We enjoyed an ADA accommodating room, complete with walk-in shower and careful space consideration in every room.
Not that I planned on cooking, but if we had, everything...and I mean everything, was available.
Truly an amazing experience.
