Lovely and Gracious Stay in a Great Location

Claudia was a lovely hostess, checking in and recommending area spots to visit. The hotel is perfectly located steps from a beautiful beach and restaurants. The room is small for 3 people but the warmth of the hostess makes up for it. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious with again the grace of Claudia hosting you. The hotel is wonderful about the check out day offering luggage storage and shower and towels for post beach. HIghly recommend this in the most beautiful towns of the Cinque!!

Despite its location, it should be avoided.

Despite its favorable location in Monterosso, the hotel exhibits signs of disrepair and age. The rooms are small, and the furniture is outdated and worn. The room was also plagued by an unpleasant odor of humidity and mold. The shower appeared to be outdated and in poor condition. Furthermore, we were compelled to shorten our travel plans due to an unforeseen national train strike. Our attempts to resolve our sudden issues were met with indifference and lack of assistance from the hotel’s customer service. Despite our efforts, including writing to the establishment, we received no acknowledgment of our emails. This situation is deeply disappointing.

We checked in late but the receptionist waited for us. The room was lovely a little walk from the front desk but they only have 10rooms. From the balcony you could see the ocean. The breakfast was fabulous! 1 minute walk to the beach.

Our room has a porch and a view of the ocean, so it was great! But the downside is we had to walk several flights of stairs to get to the room with a view. Overall the hotel staff offered great service for our short stop at Cinque Terre.

Little gem in the new town

We stayed in the suite in the new part of the hotel, the room was big for 5Terre, it was clean and very comfortable. The hotel is located very close to the quieter side of the beach (statue of Gigante), and everything in the town is a short walking distance. Above all, the service was the best, super friendly, great local tips and very warm.

What an amazing place! It truly felt like someone’s home but with all the comfort of a hotel. It was intimidate and spacious at the same time and then location is perfect. A huge plus is their shower available in case you need one after you check out. It was very handy to keep enjoying Monterosso on my way leaving town.

Great Hotel in Cinque Terre

Locanda A Ca Du Gigante is a wonderful small (6 room) hotel a 5 min flat walk from Monterosso train station. This is one of the few true "hotels" in Cinque Terre, and very nice, clean, and friendly. Room is what you would expect of any 4-star hotel (ours had a lovely walled patio). It is 100 yard walk to beach and main street of Monterosso. No ocean view but great location. Service was very friendly. Will stay here again.

Excellent Value and Location in Cinque Terre

The hotel is well located on a quiet street near the beach in Monterosso al Mare. The property is very cute with a nice room for breakfast on site. Our room was located in another building a short walk from the main hotel, where all the ocean view rooms are located. The view did not disappoint. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Monterosso al Mare was the perfect home base to venture out and explore the beautiful coastline and quaint villages that are the Cinque Terre.
