Good hotel with comfortable room and adequate bathroom. Good breakfast. Disappointing that on one of the hottest days of the year, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly in our room. Also, for the price paid, a coffee machine in the superior double deluxe room would have been appreciated - but apart from those points, we enjoyed our stay.

The buffet breakfast is good and have good choice, not the continental breakfast, so enjoyable. The public transport to attractions are so easy and convenient. The only drawback is the TV cast, all three nights that we stayed, only able to use it for around half an hour and throw mine out, cannot get back in! a bit disappointed. I still would like to recomment this hotel.

Hotel in need of maintenance

Bad smell both in the hallway and in the room. Had to change. Smell was better in the new room but there the drain in the shower was clogged so bathroom got filled with water while showering. The hotel fixed it but we were never offered any compensation.

Disappointing. Look for other options.

There is simply no service. Not a single smile. The hotel is worn, dusty, some walls broken and in less than appealing area. We ended up checking out after staying only one night. When trying to take our luggage back to lobby we had to uncomfortably try to walk between at least 4-5 trolleys full of dirty blankets, and cleaning tools. The cleaners would pass next to us carrying laundry without even saying “sorry”, “after you” or a simple “good morning”. Truly disappointing from A to Z. Not good value for money at all.

Feather Allergy

Requested a feather free room when booking. Confirmed a week before check in that the room would be feather free. Hotel confirmed. At check in asked again that the room was feather free. Hotel staff confirmed. My friend started to have a reaction so we went looking for feathers. Two of the four pillows were feathers. Picture of tag provided. My friend had a dangerous allergic reaction and a terrible nights sleep because of this mistake. When we called the front desk they told us there were no feathers in the hotel anywhere. We were looking at the tag so we knew they were wrong. Staff came and got the pillows but made no apologies for the mistake. At check out, we asked again about the pillows. Staff again denied the presence of feathers in our room so we showed them the picture. It was only now their tune changed. They combed our breakfast bill but the whole situation could have been a lot worse. People who are allergic to feathers should not stay here.

Bathtub, cleaning and breakfast needs fixing

The bathtub should be replaced with a flat shower floor. The bathtub is too narrow, making it very easy to lose balance and fall. There is also interference from a large towel holder and the handle bar is too low to use when standing and taking a shower. As it is, the bathtub is dangerous. Even though I used the hotel website to request room cleaning for two specific days, no one came. Instead a person came on a day when I had removed the do not disturb sign, but she did not clean the toilet. The breakfast area needs to be much more user-friendly and this mean ergonomics. There are no counters to place one’s plate or cup while getting the food. The scrambled eggs are very bland and tasteless. The coffee is horribly weak and has almost no taste; this includes the espresso-need roughly TWICE the amount of coffee in both the filter and the espresso, to have them taste decent; as they are made now, it is brown water.

The hotel is under renovation but poorly managed. Front desk staff is overwhelmed and cannot be bothered at all. Rubbish around the entrance. Bathroom drainage had problems so after one bath the bathroom floor was flooded. I called the front desk the night manger gave a look and says give a look tomorrow. The next evening, after coming back from long day of work, still flooded, not even cleaned! Asked the front desk, they were not aware of this issue. And I was promised a fix. So I went out for dinner. As you can guess, after came back, still not touched. I gave up on this hopeless place. I cannot believe I paid nearly 500euros per night for this.
