It was so nice to get a traditional Hanok for the three nights we stayed at the place. It was also very convenient to walk to the waterfalls and the street market. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Absolutely gorgeous place! One of the very few places left in Korea that gives you an authentic and beautiful experience. It is within walking distance from a beautiful waterfall, one of the main attractions on the island. The rooms are wonderful, the heated floors are so comfortable, the staff is very kind and you can run traditional clothing for free to take beautiful photos. we had a wonderful stay there, I would absolutely recommend.

They gave us a free room upgrade, the hotel and our room is beautiful, the free hanbok hire was fun. You do need to do a bit of walking to get to most of the nearby food, and one of the faucets wasn't working properly (but still working), but overall, our stay was fantastic.

The pictures dont do this hotel justice . It was a very lovely hotel especially the grounds. The softness of bedding is something that isnt easy to get used to. Would have been nice to have the option of different bedding. But when asked for more. It was given no problem. Freezer/fridge could have been colder but these are minor inconveniences which dont take away from the unique experience. Loved the free hanbok rental too so much fun. It is quite a walk away from the city core so make sure you bring dinner home with you if need a variety of options. Options within 20mins of the hotel walking is limited

Like Preserving the traditional hanok style: love the ambiance, Definitely an Experience! . Love that you can wear hanbok & do a pictorial. Great AC. Clean. Quiet and calming. Beautiful gardens! Easy to call for taxis. No restaurant in hotel so if one comes in late, not convenient to go out. But they are building one. Opens at 8am. Earlier than that, the tables/ chairs are not available as there is no lobby. Have to use Google translate as staff does not speak English. Found out that I can’t sleep on futon beds- comfortable but hard to get up! (From a senior!) All in all, highly recommended for the experience.

The main building doing renovation during our stay, we stay in a Hanok a house by it own, specially well maintained. The mattress a bit thin maybe because Spring season so that we will not feel too hot. Inside the Hanok we don't even need to on Aircon cos the temperature outside is like 20-19c just open the windows cool wind so nice. Best point is free rental of Habok to wear for photo shoot with the beautiful landscape and Hanok.

Beautiful compound and helpful staff.

The compound was so beautiful. We are rarely in awe with our hotels, but Hallagung really blew us away. We stayed in a 2nd floor room and wake up to the beautiful view of the coast from far. The traditional architecture really helped enrich our Korean experience. The staff was also so helpful, able to converse in chinese. We needed a cab in very early hours, the owner woke up very early (even when their front desk was closed) to help us call for cab as there was no pre-booking cab service. It is walking distance a few nice cafes and a convenience store. The nearest bus stop does not have many services, but a short walk will bring you to more services.
