Great location, very central! The place was tidy and had a great selection of dvds forthe end of the day. The downside was the tank water but appreciated the complimentary bottles of water.

Cosy, warm and old worldly cottage

Cosy and clean cottage with enough room for a family or group of friends. The creek running in front of the cottage is nice, watching the ducks and nature on your front door step. Close to all of the facilities and restaurants/ cafe. We had a great stay, beautiful location.

The location in the town with the sounds of the creek running by the front verandah. The birdlife and general ambience made for a pleasant overnight stay with easy access to the attractions of Walhalla the next day.

Creek Cottage is a delightful 2 bedroom cottage with great facilities. It is easily accessible and right in the centre of town. The kitchen is reasonably stocked with crockery and cutlery and basic cookware. Bed is comfortable and linen is good quality.

We had a really wonderful time, filled with adventure as we explored the area. Locals are so friendly & helpful. Highly recommend, very comfortable. Thank-you.

8/10 Very good

WE found the cottage warm and cosy. It was centrally located. We were comfortable. It could do with some instructions for the DVD. The internet was useless. We had been warned. Everything we needed was there. Would be happy to go there again. Unfortunately we did go for the train ride and it was cancelled.
Tom, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Lovely cottage in the most beautiful setting. Communication was via email but instructions were very clear. We’re able to access property before 2pm which was much appreciated. Surrounding area was lovely with very picturesque walks and lovely heritage buildings. Would certainly recommend.
ELLY, 2-night trip

Lovely property in walking distance to everything. Just a little cold. No matter what we did unfortunately we just couldn't get warm! Electric blankets very much appreciated thank you! And in fairness it was a very cool night. Thankyou for our stay.
Tina, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

We did not stay in the property since there was no power in that area. We came back the same day back to our home in Melbourne. Parking not there in the property.
Innocent, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Cosy, cute cottage in the middle of Walhalla. The kitchen is looking very tired and in need of updating. The wifi was good but the TV doesn’t work (except for DVD’s). Shower in the bath with plastic curtain. Had to use a few heaters to keep the cottage warm. Expected more for the price charged.
Carmel, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice but pricey

The location is lovely. The cottage itself and the surrounds are very nice but amenities are a little lacking. No TV, internet was not working although Ingrid did try to fix it. Little things like a breakfast hamper and a new kitchen sponge would improve the experience. Cutlery is a little lacking e.g. no fish slice or scissors. Torch did not work.
2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

For a place to not have drinkable water and yet for that high rent there wasn’t a single bottle of water. Possums made noise on the roof all night. No place was open for dinner or breakfast in the whole town although the information provided said there will be the local pub. Below par.
Bonnie, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This place was so beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It had all we needed. Excellent water pressure in the shower! Plenty of heat. Private and cosy. Pets welcome, they even have dog food and water bowls ready and waiting. Creek Cottage was right next to Stringer Creek and you could hear the water running by in the creek, it was so gentle and soothing. And the local native bird life was amazing! So many gorgeous birds coming into the fenced-in yard and even onto the veranda! Including King Parrots, Rosellas, Currawongs, Kookaburras, Superb Fairy-wrens and some others I could not identify. Walhalla is a welcoming, friendly town that has a long and proud history. The locals work hard to preserve and share that history. There is plenty to see and do. The Witchery Cafe is a marvellous place to eat! Take the train ride, tour the mine, and if you come on weekends, the Cemetery Tour is a must! I love the old bank as well. If you like to hike or if you'd rather sit at the park and enjoy the fresh air, you will enjoy Walhalla. It has a positive and powerful energy.

What a great little property to stay at in Walhalla. Clean and comfortable. Excellent communication prior to check in to set our expectations of the surrounding area. Really comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.
