Pretty good hotel, with a caveat

This is a nice hotel with great location, but not having an AC in the middle of August heat wave really spoiled the experience. We spent two quite miserable and sweaty nights, while otherwise, happy with the service, rooms, and breakfast.

False Advertising

The gentleman at the reception started out fine but became condescending quickly. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it said it had a laundry facility. When I ask about doing laundry, I was told that there isn’t a facility in town but sometimes the hotel will allow guests to do their laundry onsite, but he would have to check. I was told to wait while someone was located to ask. I was then told it wasn’t possible. This hotel should not be allowed to advertise a laundry facility.

Wonderful stay during road trip in Austria!

My family and I (wife and two kids, ages 11 and 13) had a one night overnight in Melk during a road trip through Austria. We wish we would have stayed two nights, it was such a charming town. As we had four people, we booked the suite and were pleasantly surprised to see there was a sauna in the bathroom and a huge shower. This was a highlight, we enjoyed the sauna morning and night. There is a shared balcony at the hotel overlooking the town square which is really charming and fun for people watching. My wife and I shared a bottle of sparkling wine from the balcony and relaxed in the afternoon. The service was friendly and there was a parking lot behind the hotel which was very convenient. The town of Melk was great; lots of charming cobblestone streets, little cafes, interesting restaurants, ice cream shops, etc.. You can also walk across a bridge for a nice nature walk through the woods to the Danube River. The monastery is a must see; it towers over the town and is beautiful. It is an incredible building with great history. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Melk

Ene Nacht in Melk

Mitten in der Stadt gelegen, trotzdem mit Parkplatz. Überall Möglichkeiten fĂŒr Abendessen. Die Stadt ist klein und an einem Abend zu durchlaufen. Aber man kommt ja wegen dem Stift in die Stadt. Gute Tipps vom Personal.

Die Lage des Hotels ist Mitten in der Stadt, alles gut zu Fuss zu erreichen, nur leider ist es bei offenem Fenster auch sehr laut. In der Wirtschaft neben an, sassen junge Leute die bis ca 1.30 laut gelacht haben. Da war es mit dem Schlaf mĂŒhsam.... FrĂŒhstĂŒck gibt es nur bis 9.00 Uhr - ungewöhnlich. Man hat fĂŒr uns eine Lösung gefunden - Kosten je Person dann 19.80. Leider war das Personal weniger freundlich...
