Lovely Spanish hotel

Balcony room recommended. Great breakfast choices. Frindley helpfully staff. English TV news channel would be nice. Also tea making kettle wood be nice

Gem of a Hotel on the Playa

This was the second time we have stayed here, will definitely book again. This time we opted for a beach view which did not disappoint. The rooms have everything you need; clean, nicely decorated and a fridge. Breakfast is lovely with freshly made cooked eggs, bacon etc on demand with the benefit of a good buffet style continental breakfast available. Biggest benefit is that is not a huge hotel like most on the playa; the staff make you feel welcome.

Location, Location, Location!

We recently returned to this hotel, which is our favourite in Mojacar due to its location right on the beach. The hotel has been modernised with stylish and contemporary designs and finishes. There’s still room for improvement, such as the soil border between the restaurant and the beach hasn’t been planted and other minor things, but the stunning location far outweighs any negatives. We really enjoyed having a G &T on the hotel terrace watching the windsurfers and paraglide, kiteboarders. Our room and large balcony was right on the beach and had everything you could want, including an extremely comfortable bed. We fell asleep and woke up in the morning to sound of the sea, absolutely beautiful. The view of sunset and especially the moonlight on the ocean from the hotel is also beautiful. The restaurant, again right on the beach, serves a delicious breakfast with freshly cooked options, freshly squeezed orange juice, full barista coffee to order and everything you could want including healthy options. We always had an extra coffee after breakfast because the location is so nice. The hotel also offers meals and snacks throughout the day. The pool area has been recently refurbished and drinks from the bar are served there. We had no problem getting sun beds etc during our stay in June. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to visiting the Hospedium Hotel Continental again in future. Highly recommended.

Okay, not great, no idea why rave reviews

We stayed firstly in room 3, sea view, two small double beds, large household fridge. Shower didn’t drain very well and we had to make sure it didn’t overflow the tray. Hairdryer didn’t work. Quite though and lovely sea view. We also stayed in room 115, no sea view, fine, but we were almost over the front door and the noise of it opening and closing was like someone snoring, for a few seconds at a time. Room was freezing without using the air con to heat it, it had a horrible smell of smoke in it, they had plugged in an air fresher in the bathroom, but the smell is unpleasant. We slept well in room 3, had a terrible nights sleep in room 115. Small, individual toiletries, not particularly nice, wasting a lot of plastic, as did all the individually wrapped little plates of cheese slices, ham etc at breakfast. Breakfast by far the worst of any hotel I’ve stayed in in Spain, it is only a 3 star, but still, it wasn’t great. Vegans will definitely struggle. No plant milks (they have cereal, so maybe take your own, as we did). They were offering baked beans, so that’s an option. Scant options. Staff nice enough. They had closed the kitchen for dinner the day we arrived, there was very little on offer (that was decent) open nearby. There’s a cafe over the road that does greasy spoon type food. Along the road Cokki was okay, but pricy for what it was. It wasn’t terrible (well, room 15 was), it was cheap and good value, but a few minor changes are needed

Its position on the beach makes it worth paying extra for a room with a sea view. I did that at check-in and I felt it was money well spent. I've been three times to the Continental and the staff are always cheerful and helpful and the breakfasts, particularly the buffet, is excellent. Parking is easy if you go slightly off season, and if you don't have a car, there is a local bus service that stops right in front of the hotel gardens and car park making access to everywhere else easy.
