"Good location in the centre of Geilo. We had a two bed apartment with a lounge area, kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy bed. Downsides, you can't specify where in the block you want to be. Although we booked over 6 months ago, hoping for a view, we found ourselves on the ground floor looking over some sheds/shacks with very little view of the spectacular scenery. Also, obtaining the key relies on a mobile phone with access to the Internet as there is no person at a reception on site to help. "

"This is a mountain lodge - rustic conditions outside, but you'll find a very comfy bed on the inside. Stayed in the hotel and had two twin beds with comforters. I am hot-blooded so the Comforter was a bit much for me, but my wife was cold with one, so she asked for another. Shower was excellent and powerful! Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was a Nordic continental. Cured Fish, Cold Cuts/Cheese, H.B.Eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and jams, etc. Healthy and it will keep you full while hiking. A bit out of the way, but isn't that what we are looking for in the wilderness? If it wan't so far from the US, I would be staying here on all of my hiking adventures."

"This is a ski resort,but we were there in June. Nice rooms,excellent restaurant and very easy parking! Not much around the hotel itself,but it had a lot of activities. Pretty much halfway between Bergen and Oslo if you are driving. "

"A most stunning location with beautiful views of the fjord. Everything in the house was top notch and well thought through. The kitchen had all the necessary gadgets, utensils and crockery. The living room had very plush comfortable sofas. The beds were comfortable. The linen and towels were clean and neat. The only thing that was a bit odd was that such a big house for 8 people had only 1 bathroom. There were 2 toilets though, which is a good thing. Parking place just next to the house. Overall, I would still give it a 10/10."

"Beautiful lakeside setting we wish we could have enjoyed longer. Staff member reached out to us when we were running late from a mountain hike and made arrival easy for us. Friendly cat brought us a "gift" after we arrived and kept the vermin away while we slept. Most excellent breakfast in the morning was a classic spread of Scandinavian "bread," which is bread, eggs, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, cereal, and much more, all serviced in the dining room with a view of the lake."
