Our room had a nice view of the mountains, and it was easy to walk to the lake for a hike. The only weird part was that toilet was oddly placed in the bathroom. "Amazing hotel and staff. Easy ski in&out, very convenient on the slopes. Great view from rooms. SPA and especially sessions with Hannah was a real treat. Very good pizza and food. Highly recommend. Only fall back is you need a taxi to come back from apres-ski and if you dine in the town."

Downsides, you can't specify where in the block you want to be. Although we booked over 6 months ago, hoping for a view, we found ourselves on the ground floor looking over some sheds/shacks with very little view of the spectacular scenery.
Also, obtaining the key relies on a mobile phone with access to the Internet as there is no person at a reception on site to help. "
"This is a mountain lodge - rustic conditions outside, but you'll find a very comfy bed on the inside. Stayed in the hotel and had two twin beds with comforters. I am hot-blooded so the Comforter was a bit much for me, but my wife was cold with one, so she asked for another. Shower was excellent and powerful! Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was a Nordic continental. Cured Fish, Cold Cuts/Cheese, H.B.Eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and jams, etc. Healthy and it will keep you full while hiking. A bit out of the way, but isn't that what we are looking for in the wilderness? If it wan't so far from the US, I would be staying here on all of my hiking adventures."
