"This is a very nice place in a remote location with nothing much to do but relax. If you like that, go here. Nice breakfast buffet. The restaurant is good and pretty, but the only place you can get a drink within a few miles. Get a duty free bottle before you come. The landscaping and pool and beach at the hotel are very beautiful and well maintained, but beyond the hotel the beach is full of plastic garbage. Rooms are not big but big enough with nice balconies with ceiling fans. There is one...

"The Shangti-La is just a step up from other hotels. Yes, it's big and busy but the staff go out of their way to really spoil you. I'm vegan and they bent over backwards to ensure I had a great breakfast, sent soy milk to my room tweaked dishes so I ate well. And the location - oh my. We stayed in a garden room and could walk straight out looking at the sea. Room had a shower and a bath, was well stocked. Water in the fridge every day. Their Spa was great too. I can't think of anything bad about the place. We just didn't want to leave. "
