"This was a very comfortable hotel and I appreciated the level of help Donnie and his team provided. I was able to message through WhatsApp the morning of our arrival and they kindly arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport with a sign to get us to the hotel. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic and the hospitality of the owners was unparalleled. Recommended for a quick stay or a longer stay to explore Tirana. Wish we had more time!"

"The first night wasn’t nice. I didn’t like the room facing the unkept backyard in pitch dark. I had 2 separate booking and I asked if I could be allocated the same room throughout but she told me it is impossible. The next morning, the lovely lady in glasses did ask if I wanted the same room. I told her I want to change to another nice outlook room. She assured me she would give me a nice room and looked for a room that was vacant the previous night. After breakfast when it was quiet, she changed my room and check-in for me. The new room was excellent and i absolutely love it. It made a huge difference - thank you to the kind lady. That made my stay very enjoyable. "

"Nice little hotel for a few days in Tirana, nothing fancy but rooms a good size and bathroom clean. Breakfast downstairs and nice small selection, with option for fried eggs. Close walking distance to a lot of key tourist things and the mall."

"This hotel is small but it is very nice. My room was newly refurbished and felt very contemporary. The staff were great. The hotel sits above a coffee shop (which is actually connected to the hotel), so there is fresh expresso at 6:30 AM. It’s just a 20 minute walk from the heart of town and a great place to launch out on foot to see the city."

"Loved the hotel, central for everything. Spa was lovely. Only negative, the cooked food at breakfast was only luke warm, by the time you sat down to eat, it was cold. Reported to staff, but nothing was done to improve . We only ate the other items at breakfast, bit disappointing for a 4 star hotel, could of been much better!!"

"This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget and don’t mind caring luggage up a few floors. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Note- there is NO RECEPTION AREA. I didn’t know that before I got there ( should’ve read the instructions). You need to get phone number on their website and text them on WhatsApp to let them know what time you are coming in so they can give you a code to the door and tell you which room is yours. You can also text that number to ask for blankets etc. The general location is good and you feel like you’re in very loca place with kids playing around right in front of the hotel. Not fancy, but a great place to stay. "

"Amazing stay. Shared bathrooms were extremely clean and everything was modern. Had a garage for safe off street parking - very important because cars get damaged easily on the street. Free water in reception and the owner/manager was very nice and helpful 100% recommend"

"Had a fabulous stay at the Monarc.Very clean, nice decor, great breakfast, friendly staff. Great roof bar. It was perfectly placed in the centre of town - bars and restaurants no more than 5 min walk away. The price worked for us. It was one of the nicest boutique hotels we have visited in Eastern Europe and we have been to many."
