The location is amazing and we had an incredible view from our balcony.
The room was large, comfortable and clean.
The issue is with the service. I messaged multiple times before arriving to ask for help arranging a transfer from the station. I got no response.
There was nobody at the reception when I came to check in (or ever).
The hotel was advertised as having a pool. It does not have a pool.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but the terrible service took the gloss off "

"Really higher service level than normally received, friendly staff, amazing view, the breakfast was amazing, including all the best of local specialties.
The only strange thing was the poolboy who protected the pooltowels with his life - you were not allowed to leave the pool area with them. But besides that, it was an amazing stay and we look forward to return."

"It was very pleasant and enjoyable. Our host was exceptional, she actually came and picked us up and took us to the hotel. And in the morning she took us back to the train station which is where we pick up the ferry. Absolutely unbelievable. Nothing to say but very very good things. An exceptional stay.

I checked in late Sunday afternoon which meant reception was not staffed, but intercom provided all information to get in and access key card. Very comfortable bed and perfect pillows.
