"Casa del Poeta was probably our favorite place we stayed during our two-week trip to Sicily. It’s in a lovely, peaceful location with plenty of parking, which made arriving by car really easy. We loved the story behind the property and all the thoughtful details that went into the decor and experience. The bed was especially comfortable and we slept so well. The pool was also incredibly peaceful and relaxing, a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The location worked really well for day trips around the area. "This is a multi-generational family-run property and they make you feel like family. It is just outside Piazza Amerina and a few minutes drive from the must-see Villa Romana. So much easier than trying to drive to and park at a hotel in the city. Parking is free. There is a restaurant onsite, which is also where you check in/out. The bed was comfy and the room & bathroom were spacious. Everyone from the owner & his mother to the extended family and cleaning staff treated us warmly. "
