"The hotel exceeded my expectations. I was in a good mood the whole time. You could not ask for a better location right next to the Glendalough sites, plus reasonable rates. Although my room was small, it was cozy and had everything I needed, plus a lovely view from the sizable windows even though it raced north toward the road. My only complaint about the hotel is that the front desk is not staffed 24/7 (I think it closes at 8 or 9 PM), which might create some anxiety for those returning late. I also read really bad reviews about the hotel restaurant, so I ate dinner elsewhere. However, the included breakfast was fine. I didn't see a fan or way to open the windows in the room, so I imagine it might get a little hot during warmer weather."

The breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. I can’t recommend the Tudor Lodge highly enough. When I return to Glendalough I will definitely be staying at Tudor Lodge. "

"We had a lovely stay. The staff were great! We had dinner down at the bar (it was delicious!! I enjoyed a pub toastie and carrot & coconut soup) we enjoyed having a few drinks at the bar and meeting Alan. Alan was enjoyable to chat with. We really enjoyed our stay. Only recommendation would be fans available for warmer days. We are so use to air conditioning here in Florida…. A room without air conditioning is dreadful. Lucky for us Ireland evening weather is cooler…. So it wasn’t so bad at night but you guys have much longer summer evenings than we do here in Florida this time of year. "

"The hotel room was spacious and beautiful, and had wonderful old world amenities, but in a newly upgraded way. I love the fact that at night you could hear the ocean waves crashing across the street. Additionally, the staff was helpful and super pleasant. What a great place to stay and in a beautiful area!"

"We stayed with our lovely hosts Jo and Jim at their beautiful B&B. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Lovely Jo showed us to our room and it really did exceed expectations. Breakfast was delicious with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and fresh coffee etc. Jo and Jim went over and beyond to make us feel at home. We will definitely be back. "The location is in the countryside with 40 shades of green all around. The location served as our base for exploring Glendalough, which was one of the top places to see on our 3-week trip, as well as Powerscourt Gardens, Waterfall, and other attractions such as Lough Tay and the bridge from the movie, "P.S. I Love You". My wife loved the washer/dryer in the apartment. "

"The staff is great. The rooms are neat and the area is perfect. Only one issue came up with the taxes of the hotel charge were 200.00 extra. But that’s something internally between the hotel and Expedia and I was able to get it looked at on my end. All was well. Great people. Most importantly they were kind and generous. "

"The town of Arklow is a quaint, quiet little town, very walkable, a river nearby. The Hotels proprietor was a very friendly, kind, helpful man. Check in at the bar was quick, room was nicely renovated, it could have been the time of year but it was VERY quiet in the upstairs area, I felt like I was the only one staying there. There was a bountiful, delicious breakfast the next morning, a full Irish breakfast and I had a lovely chat with the barkeep....he had been working there for 50 years...amazing! The only tiny criticism I had was that I couldn't get any hot water in the shower, could have been I didn't wait long enough or just old pipes, but a hot shower would have been nice. I would recommend! "
