"This hotel is only 15 minutes from the Oberwiesenthal ski area. The facilities are spacious, modern and very clean. Lots of parking too. l was hesitant to book a single room because there were no photos on the listing, but this turned out to be the most comfortable single room ever. It was large, there were three floor-to-ceiling windows, balcony, sofa, large bathroom with massage jets. Excellent to say the least. Breakfast choices were extensive. "Easiest parking we had for our rental car during our Europe trip. We just parked next to the park in front. Short walk to church up the street and shops around the corner. Darling park in front of hotel. This hotel used to be the city hall, so it is very nice with marble floors and walls. Restaurant is excellent. Breakfast was fantastic and they offer to bring different eggs and meat like bacon to your table in addition to the buffet in the other room. Staff was very nice. Spoke some English....

"Poor customer service. I was locked outside wit another guest for 45 minutes. The number and the whatsapp answered but blew us off. It was night time and freezing. Luckily we found a way in. Building door doesn't always work correctly and they customer service as well"

"Es ist ein einfaches Gasthaus welches sehr schön wieder hergerichtet wurde. Für eine Übernachtung völlig ausreichend. Es gibt aber keinen wirklichen Eingangs- bzw. Empfangsbereich sodass man erstmal nach einem Mitarbeiter schauen muss. Insgesamt aber alles nicht so schlimm. Da der Gasthof erst ganz neu wieder eröffnet wurde kann man von ausgehen, dass sich alles erst noch einspielen muss.

The breakfast (included) was really fresh and nice and served at the table. Bread was still warm and coffee was freshly made when seated and they asked if you would like scrambled or fried egg. The lady running the hotel was super nice and made sure everything was 100%. Strongly recommend this hotel."
