"Excellent and friendly welcome, room was checked over before giving us the keys, answered our questions (regarding public transport to Edinburgh).
Good night’s sleep, comfortable and quiet.
Good continental breakfast in the morning was good, with good service, option of coffees which where brought to the table.
Would recommend this hotel, not large but good."
"I cannot fault the Fingal hotel in any way. Booked this as part of our mini moon after getting married in Scotland and it really lived up to expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and engaging, giving us tips on sights and restaurants in the area. The room itself (luxury cabin) was perfect for us, tastefully decorated and with a door going onto the deck upfront. We both slept really well and the mattress quality was excellent. The breakfast was divine, so many options to pick from and all executed perfectly. Special shout out to the staff at breakfast who were so cheerful and made it effortless to pick whatever we wanted from the menu. We had dinner on board the first night and it is truly fine dining, our plates were like pieces of art. One final fabulous feature of the boat is its elevator, which again, is tastefully designed in keeping with the rest of the interior as well as being spacious. I’m already planning when I can return to this wonderful hotel!"
"A very clean well run hotel.
The staff are friendly and very welcoming.
nothing is too much.
The food is excellent and well presented.
A great place to stay."
"The building is old and out dated... but that's exactly what I wanted. It gives the feel of an authentic experience. The scenery is beautiful and the staff was friendly. "
"Outside of Edinburgh, but easy to get to by bus or tram. Rooms were elegant and spacious, and every interaction with a staff member was professional and friendly."
"This property is stunning inside. Beautifully decorated, quirky layout with lots of little snug lounges. Staff were lovely. The hotel itself is just tucked away from the main theatre area which means its lovely and quiet but few minutes walk and you are in the heart of everything."
"Very nice place, helpful staff. A bit of a walk from old town but it is right on the tram line. You can go outside and catch a tram right to the airport. Rooms are small but very nice. Lots of restaurants and pubs around. "

"Much better than I expected for the price, which was a real bargain for Edinburgh in August. And an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet included! Would definitely use again."
Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh - Leith Waterfront by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"We loved staying in this hotel. Everything was new, clean, beds were very comfortable. Area was amazing, lots of food options, one block from the train. Would absolutely stay there again"
"Great unique 2 night stay while we explored Edinburgh during the Fringe. Cabin was perfect. Big comfy bed, strong shower and quality finish throughout. Breakfast at the bar each morning was lovely and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Tony was so professional despite the demands of the crowded 9am sitting. Reception were likewise and the young barman who served us on our first night was the perfect host. Tram stop is minutes away from the ship so getting to the city centre when we didn’t fancy the hike up Leith Walk was great. Hope to be back next year. "
"Julie and her husband were very kind hosts. The area was lovely, breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Thank you for a delightful stay! (Please pick up some jams on your way out.)"
"Easy to access, bustop right outside. It took 25 min to Edinburgh by bus. Our room (with private bathroom) was clean and nice. It was kind of thin walls though, we could all hear each other. We were only there for 3 nights, but we would recommend it! "
"A beautiful place with a breakfast fit for royalty. The rooms are spotless and cozy, and the beds gently lull you to sleep. It truly feels like your own little palace. We’re already hoping to return."
