"Stayed for the night as a stopover on our way home from Cornwall, couldn’t fault it, beautiful surroundings, lovely hotel, great service, comfy beds and amazing breakfast 😀 oh and the dogs dinner was given a 5* rating by the dog 😂"

"Excellent stay, as all Daniel thwaites brand hotels usually are... Great food, great rooms, really comfortable, great hotel layout, milk and water dispensers in the hallway, which are genius idea, really make the difference for an avid tea/coffee drinker... Spa, gym, pool facilities are fabulous, very relaxing and well kept. Staff were lovely as usual, they pick good people. Only thing I'd complain about is having to pay for parking, which I didn't expect... But it was only a fiver per night so not too unreasonable."

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel and I can't believe I got it for the price I did. I stayed alone on business mid week and the facilities were brilliant. A high standard Spa with a beautiful view out of the windows, decent sized gym (although it opened quite late at 7am, not the best when you have an early start - 6am would be perfect) and I even treated myself to a late evening massage (Emily was great). The food was delicious, especially the breakfast, and the staff were all very polite and helpful. I'd be staying much more often if the price was that achievable mid week (circa £120)."

"We were visiting to attend a party and as we had plenty of notice decided to splash out on the best room. It was huge - I could hardly see my wife on the other side! We loved the 4 poster bed (also huge) and the classy period furnture. The bathroom was well apointed and everything worked well. The automatic lightsvareva good idea, and my wife enjoyed the bath. The only minor issue wss with yhe windows which are secondary glazed for the winter, but some of the glazing was broken, which made the room quite hot in the summer. However, if we go back to Tewkesbury again, I suspect that we'll have to book this room again. Breakfast was good with top quality local produce."

"We had a really nice 2 night stay, we checked in earlier as our room was ready, which was a lovely start. The hotel was beautiful, the service was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and powerful. We enjoyed some nice food in the atrium bar, a lovely afternoon tea in the 1853 restaurant. And some nice 6 oclock gin on the terrace - all with fantastic service. The only negative was the room was so hot it was uncomfortable, a fan was provided and was really needed. There was also a huge generator outside, and the loading bay was noisy. (room 6 - junior suite) "

"The best part was the early opening of the.swimming pool etc. without children till 0800. lovely pool, good layout, and receptionist very pleasant. Other staff all very helpful, too. Will be back again, enabled us to explore Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean."
