"We had a lovely stay here, the room and bathroom were very nice and a good size and had everything you needed. Julie was so helpful and made us an amazing breakfast every morning. The house is in a quiet area but easy to reach shops and restaurants, as well as the main bus station."

"This was my first stay in a B&B as I usually stay in a hotel. It has a very welcoming atmosphere, with a wonderful homely feel. Breakfast had a choice of toast, jams, cereal and the cooked breakfast was cooked to order. This stay has left me wanting to stay in more B&B's. "

"The cottage is in a great location to access all parts of the island. Decor and furnishing are on the basic side, but this is more than reflected in the price. The garden has lovely views - a picnic table is provided but I suggest taking your own camping chairs for more comfy, longer term seating. The cottage is on a B road with some traffic at times but the noise was not intrusive, and was non-existent overnight. The pub, just 200 steps down the road, is a gem and serves excellent food - I...

"Lovely staff and great location. I think it was bad luck but we had the smallest room imaginable, plus it was too hot to sleep. My parents stayed too in the same room class and it was much better size and cooler. Staff in the bar more than made up for it, brilliant time had and would stay again for sure "

"I had a first floor room on the side of the house, and being on a hillside there was a good view over the rooftops to the sea. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served from 07.30 and as I needed to leave just after 8 o clock I was very pleased that the service was very prompt. To sum up a hotel I could recommend to friends."

"Our stay was really nice we will definitely be coming back . The pool and gym was really nice our room was great we had everything we needed , staff were friendly and helpful . Area was just right as it was only a short walk to town and beach. There was nothing we didn’t like really, we will be coming back 👍."
"The hotel was really nice and the staff were very helpful. We were able to check in early as our room was ready and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checking out so we could go round the town.
The room was very nice, although the fridge wasn't very cold and one of the mattresses was very soft, a bit like a water bed but I slept ok.
Breakfast was amazing! The choices and taste, the services was very good and we weren't rushed to eat our food.
We didn't use the pool, but I'm not sure I liked the fish bowl effect where people from outside can see you in the pool.
Overall a very good experience. "
"Loved this hotel. The location was great. The price was good. The staff was friendly. And it was clean, they took care of us. I would 100% stay here again.
I would say there should be some upgrades made to the tv to be bigger, a more comfortable mattress, and if there was a way to make the floors less squeaky that’d be great.
But overall it was a great stay. "
"Wonderful Family Stay – Highly Recommend!
We had a fantastic two-night family break at the Cumberland Hotel. We booked a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds, and used Tesco Clubcard points which was a great bonus.
We arrived just before check-in, easily found parking, and were warmly welcomed. Although our room wasn’t quite ready, we were invited to use the outdoor pool – a real treat on a sunny day! The pool was clean, well-staffed, and perfect for families.
Huge thanks to Ali and Sophia, who looked after us for the whole trip with big smiles and great service.
Our sea-view family room was spacious, spotless, and freshly decorated. The view from the balcony was stunning, and the in-room fridge was a brilliant touch for families. The bathroom was modern, though the shower pressure could be improved.
Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet was hot, fresh, and constantly topped up. Franck, (age 82 was a gem) who served us, was an absolute star – even warming pancakes for our girls!
The Friday night fireworks was amazing!
A great bonus: guests can use facilities at other Oceana hotels. We enjoyed both outdoor pools and even used the indoor pool next door.
Classic, friendly service like this is rare – every member of staff was lovely, a real credit to the team. We had a brilliant holiday and can’t wait to return!
"
"Had a lovely 2 night stay! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during check in and check out. Very convenient location and not a huge distance to the beach. Will definitely stay again if ever in Bournemouth. "
"Convenient, quiet location for a pre-cruise overnight stay. Transportation was readily avaliable and the front desk staff were very helpful to arrange. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was included in my room selection and it was delicious and plentiful. You cannot go wrong by including it. We enjoyed our stay in Portsmouth!"
"Lovely hotel. Would hoghly recommend. We stayed in the deluxe suite, it was extremely comfortable, very clean and had ecwrything we needed for our 2 nights stay. Coffee and tea, bottled water, iron and air conditioning. Plenty of towels for the 3 of us and complementary slippers and robes. The staff were cery polite and friendly and the food was exceptional "
"Our stay at the hotel was for 2 days. Room was clean and the location was about a 10 -15 minute walk from the beach, gardens and town centre. Would stay at the hotel again."
