Northampton is applauded for its cultural attractions such as Royal & Derngate Theatre and Althorp House. Visitors to this welcoming city speak highly of the bars whereas sights include Market Square and Delapre Abbey.
The gem of the city is the cultural quarter, although for the first day we walked past it not realising that was where all the good places to eat and get coffee were!

As we were only there for one night, we find it very easy to walk around the town and there are plenty of places to eat. We felt safe.

First time visiting Northampton for an event. I could definately live here.
"Nice clean hotel, i arrived late at night butvwas jonproblem as was promptly checked in and had a good nights sleep. Gym was good and breakfast was brilliant. Thanks"
"What a lovely little find. 5 mins off the M1, but set in the grounds of an old vicarage and very quiet and tranquil.
Lovely welcome from the owners, shown my room which was lovely and spotless. Shared kitchen area had everything, cooker, fridge, coffee machine… basically everything you need.
You can use the garden area which had seating and tables which was lovely just to listen to the peace and quiet in the sunshine.
Highly recommend this place for a quick stop off like myself, or a base to explore the local region. Very peaceful and quiet, set in the countryside. "
"Hotel is brand new everything excellent.
Onsite restaurant 2 mins walk.
Cafe across road all priced at student discount free parking.
Bar usually close 2200 but if event on it 0100 we had euro blues festival.
Hotel bar shuts 2100. "
"The staff were friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to eat and local transport & taxis. Our room was spotless & had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. It was lovely and quiet at night & breakfast in the coffee bar was fresh and delicious. It’s a great base for visiting local attractions."
"Regular visitor. Always clean, friendly staff, lovely rooms and great food. Only minor criticism would be that there is typically only one staff member on breakfast/check-out which can mean a few minutes waiting, but other than that, an excellent place to stay !"
"Nice mid-range hotel with excellent spa (best treatments we’ve had, at very fair price, though no pool). Excellent dinner in restaurant & good breakfast. Our room was on 3rd floor and, being an old building, there’s no lift. Room was ok, though a ‘standard’ double, not a queen / king. There’s no air-con, but a good floor standing fan. Good sized bathroom with large shower. We will certainly return here as the spa & food are so good. "
"A wonderful gem in a stunning location. The pub is great, the accommodation comfortable and good value. The food we had was lovely from a menu with good variety.
The owners and staff were friendly and helpful.
Very happy to recommend "
"A charming stay in a beautifully restored old coaching house. This family-run hotel is warm, cozy, and full of character. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you arrive, with friendly owners who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is excellent, homemade, hearty, and full of flavour.

"Wonderful little Bed & Breakfast in a lovely quaint little town. The service is fantastic, super friendly and helpful staff. The food is delicious, and it has a great pub & patio as well. "
"Had a fabulous stay yet again at CFL, breakfast was delicious and fresh.
Lovely little village pub just a minutes walk away.
Lovely family owed accommodation and can’t wait to come back next year. "
"I stayed for one night whilst travelling for a mixture of business and pleasure. It had been a long hot day so it was a pleasure to step into the cool of this lovely old inn. The welcome was warm and friendly and in fact I think the friendliness of the staff is my standout reason to stay. The room was simply furnished but spacious and comfortable and importantly cool with a fan provided. I ate dinner and breakfast there both were tasty and served with a smile and friendly chat. Thanks to everyone. "
"This hotel was really great. Lovely helpful, friendly staff and very clean. Great full english breakfast. Close to all amenities.
Would highly recommend. "
"Apartment was clean, well furnished, warm and quiet. Good security and designated car parking space.
Plenty of take aways in the area if you don't want to cook.
Only 10 minutes walk into the centre of Northampton.
Enjoyed the stay."
