"Everything was great, other than a bit of a damp, fusty smell in the room. It was fine but could do with some attention. Comfy bed, everything we needed, lovely breakfast but don’t leave it too late, things didn’t get restocked ie orange juice, pastries, sourdough. Overall a good stay "

"A one night stay, before heading to Goodwood in the morning. A lovely quiet village with very friendly staff and locals. A quick friendly check-in, lovely spacious clean room with a great breakfast hamper.
We had dinner in the Thai Restaurant which was my Son's first Thai meal and it was delicious and reasonably priced. We will be back and may well try some of the treatments next time."

"Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms"

"Lovely little weekend break, great facilities clean fresh room, nice swimming pool, bonus was the restaurant. Had a lovely buffet 3 course meal for a very reasonable price. Didn't need to leave hotel.
Would stay again."
"Excellent friendly service from as soon as I booked in until I left. The little details that had been addressed was very pleasing. I had a 2 night stay, slept well both nights& enjoyed a filling breakfast on the 2nd morning. "
"Clean & Tidy hotel if slightly old fashioned decor - think conference hotel built in the 70’s / 80’s… but this is where the criticism starts and stops.
Service = amazing
Cleanliness = Top Notch
Staff = attentive and super friendly
Yes it is a little old fashioned and the decor could do with updating (for the love of God, get rid of some of the kitsch furniture and mismatched objet D’art!) but this place oozes charm and the service and people make it a trip worth making. I’d stay again and recommend you do too!
"
"Great staff, great location.
We stayed here to attend the Goodwood races.
We were looked after from start to finish with a friendly manner and great enthusiasm.
The facilities were very good and the restaurant offered good food at a reasonable price."
"The staff were lovely and very helpful, the food was really good and priced really well too, breakfast was also nice. Will be looking to stay again when I’m back in the area next. "
"We ended up booking last minute because we wanted to be closer to our event that we went to. It wwas a fantastic experience. The room and facilities were great."
"A last minute booking to get to Gatwick airport the next morning. We were plesantly surprised with our room. Lovely view, comfortable bed. It was silent apart from planes going over! As we were there to go to the airport that didnt bother us.
We'd happily stay there again.
"
"I can't say enough praise for the owner/ manager. Damien. A very happy,helpful person. Plus his staff.. Our car broke down and we had to wait hours but he was very understanding. Tried to book again for that night but unfortunately all rooms were gone. Will definitely stay again. And food, Wow !!!!! . Everything we had over the stay was so tasty. My partners Daughter had her 30th last month and that was a great night too. Cheers all."
"Second visit and the hotel coverall was very good. However, the weather was very warm and so was the room with no air conditioning. Unfortunately the windows could only be partly opened due to security cables. Only a duvet was provided but far too warm for use. A sheet would have been good but not provided. A fan was provided but not that useful. So overall sleep difficult. "
"Fabulous service, all the staff so helpful and welcoming. A la carte restaurant exceptional (really enjoyed mahi mahi, swordfish and halibut - each was a special on the 3 days I stayed. "
"Property probably about 1910 to 1920. Very good condition. Looks and feels well maintained.
Staff excellent. Very friendly.
Food very good although Chicken Parmesan at dinner far too big a portion.
Loved our stay. We will go back.
John and Felicity Allen.
We loved the hotel "
"We stayed here during a work trip. It was a great place to rest and spend time in the room. They have a bottom floor that’s underground that one of the staff put us in when we arrived early but was so appalling that we asked to change. The room we got was wonderful on the 1st floor, I don’t know if they see Expedia and just give you the worst room but it’s not the first time its happened in London. I also needed to upload 50gb and although the staff didn’t know how to help, we figured out ourselves that the internet is is way faster in the conference room close to the router that in our actual room, which saved me. It’s a great place to stay if you’re in town for work or pleasure. Would recommend. "
"Check in staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cute children’s pack waiting on the bed.
Although we didn’t have dinner reservations, we were able to eat in the bar area.
Great breakfast with again, very friendly staff.
Cleaners were lovely too. Thanks "
