Breakfast I paid when I got there and it was very limited also paid for dinner and all they had were hamburgers fries and other little things. Definitely eat out if you stay there. If it were not for the staff being so nice I would have probably given them a one star. Way over priced so sorry I used my points on this. "

"We have a lovely one night stay at this French converted barn on our way down to Switzerland. The host was really welcoming and provided a lovely breakfast for us ahead of our journey on. As a family we have the upstairs room which was beautiful and spacious for our family. My children enjoyed meeting the chickens and cats and playing outside as well and enjoying playing games in our room and utilising the common room area too. "

The pool closes at 8pm and is not open before in the afternoon, so don’t expect a late night swim or a morning swim.
They recommended a “partner-restaurant” placed by another hotel and offered 10% by showing a voucher.
But despite arriving 45 minutes before the kitchen closed to a restaurant with more than 60% empty tables I would say, the message was “all reserved”. "

The view from the terrace should not be missed. The property is a stone’s throw from old castle ruins (free) and an underground sandstone quarry (there is an admission fee), as well as a short walk from the old town. Full disclosure: the hotel is on the top of a hill. While the walk into town was all downhill and relatively easy, the walk back up to the hotel could be viewed as somewhat strenuous."

Make sure you don't show up early for check-in as the doors are locked during certain parts of the day and only accessible with a key you receive when checking in. The staff were all friendly and helpful and could accommodate French, German and even English speakers. It was the highlight of a multi-city trip.
