"We wrote to the hotel that we should arrive after 21:00....no response or check-in arrangements were sent to us. We got there at 22:30 and the self check in machine was down....so no help. Eventually some guy / staff member appeared from nowhere.... First he said our booking is not real.... despite giving him my printed reservation and booking number.... despite being paid already! Then we managed to get a room. The guy refused to validate our room for wifi and said to use the visitor option...

"The accommodation offers value for money. We needed a simple, single, overnight stay for a family of four. The room was a good size. The bathroom was very cramped, poor ventilation and in need of refurbishment. That said, we didn't need to use the shower etc as we only needed somewhere to simply sleep for a few hours. I would recommend this room if you need a place to sleep and have on other requirements. I would uses agin for this purpose."

"This guest house provided a wonderful stay - an elegant large room, top-class bed linen, peaceful, parking in grounds, friendly hostess. For the same price as a budget hotel it offers a different and superior experience. The hosts provide many thoughtful touches like home made yoghurt and jams at breakfast. Easy 15 min walk into town over railway station. We only stayed one night as a stop-over on a drive north but wished we could have spent longer there. We actually felt cared-for, which was very unusual."
