"We had a great experience in a very idillic place up in Planoles. The views are exceptional, and the place is inviting, quier and nice. Personal is amazing and we had a great stay. The only thing we missed was a mosquito net (that we had last year but not this year), and a smallest bed tht would have made our stay more comfortable with a child, but it is a great place and we repeat every year"

"We arrived on Ascencion day from the little yellow train to no bus or taxi from Villefranc to the hotel - locals gathered together at the station to take us to the hotel in a private car - refused to accept any payment. Next day we needed to do washing, again let down by taxi's to get to laundry (at the local supermarket and a local again gave us a lift but let down again by taxi's to return (not far enough). The dryer did not work so back to hotel with damp washing. Immediately hotel stepped...

The apartment room was ok but it was such dry warm that was making impossible to sleep well and despite turning off heating and opening window in a snowing night it was still warmâŠ

"Location is key, opposite Fort Mont Louis, 15 m to ski areas. Hotel accepts dogs. The spa isn't attached, you need to have dressing gown or slippers! Only two changing rooms so easier to go back to room. It's a little tired but early mornings and just after lunch practically empty before the skiiers return! Reception was a little surly but the restaurant menu and staff were excellent. Value for money, don't be put off by the cafe basic entrance. Rooms have been renovated, large king size...

Need to be able to speak a little Spanish, or better - Catalan! - if possible, but everyone worked hard to understand what we wanted and daytime desk manager speaks good English. Packed lunches available on request (filled baguette, fruit, water and something sweet - ideal for the mountains)."

The breakfast didnât live up to even low french standard, 2 cold toasts and a black burnt croissant (not eatable, probably frozen and heated/defrosted on very high temperature)."
