"Hotel was nice, easy check in but really Really small town, there’s nothing to do. I was there for business meetings, I had to go to Bilbao for having fun "

"The hotel is lovely. However, the location is extremely remote — it is not “minutes from everything” as they describe on their website. There is no car service or restaurants, or humans near by. There is literally nothing close to it — so not recommended for solo travelers & you definitely should not go without a car! To get anywhere costs at least €70++. The dining on property is limited — in lieu of the extravagant tasting menu at the Michelin rated restaurant which I’m sure is great, the only option to eat dinner was room service. Despite having another bistro on site, it apparently was only for aesthetics. The room was beautiful & comfortable. Somehow I ended up waking with bug bites in the morning all over my arms — which is hard to say came from the room but since that’s where I was for the day & night, because I had no where to roam — one can only assume. The staff was nice & if you want complete peace & quiet, this is the place for you!"

"I really liked this hotel for its uniqueness, location, stunning views, and great staff. You have to keep in mind that the building is very old, from something like the 1600’s , and there are nuisances to any old building versus a new structure. There are areas that could use some upgrades, simple things like pillows but that being said, the benefits of this gem are worth it."

"Stayed here during our trip walking the Camino del Norte. Conveniently located just under 2km out of town. Food was great & the staff were very friendly & most helpful. Would definitely recommend "

"Petit hôtel charmant et très propre et moderne. Aucune mauvaise surprise tout était selon ce qui était promis sur le site web. L’appartement était au deuxième étage avec la même vue que la photo de la pub. Utilisé le coffre fort sans frais additionnels Parking intérieur et payant ( tel qu’annoncé). Bon accueil professionnel et très courtois. Belle expérience."

"Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. Our room on the top floor only had a skylight so we didn't have a view of the mountains and valley from the room which was a shame but didn't detract from our 4 night stay. Would have no hesitation in returning in the future. A magical area with hotel to match."
