"We loved this hotel. The location is amazing. You can walk right down to the beach. We saw deer frolicking in the morning. The breakfast was incredible. Probably the best breakfast I've ever had a hotel. And they were really amazing with kids. They gave my kids coloring books when we checked-in and they could do activities to get little prizes."

"Gorgeous wooden memorable hotel. It has wonderful charm and one of few buildings which has a sea view. We swam a few meters away from steps leading down into the sea water; ate and sipped drinks on the balcony; sat amongst the roses in the garden; read and browsed photographic book oks in the lounge. Breakfast and our host was lively and helpful. This is one of the great island stays of the world and you need to appreciate the creaking floorboards and walk down the hall to a shared bathroom. We are in love with this place.

"This property is rather bland...needs art in the hallways. Needs a luggage rack in room The bathroom had no space for toiletries. The happy hour bar was not staffed. Ring a bell and wait forever. Breakfast was decent. Hotel was generally clean but appeared tired without art on the walls. Elevator was rickety For the price, I would not stay there again. "
"Good bed, very quiet, and ability to check in late were positives. The check in with the lock code was a faff, including the need to ask for the code. The lack of breakfast was a major minus, the snack bar did not cut it really. There was also a strange man standing around and hover over my daughter when we were leaving, it really hit home the lack of staff. With the tired rooms, the place felt like a hostel more than anything, and I was glad to move on."
"We pretty much liked everything about the hotel. It is right on the water front and the surrounding areas are just beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

"Let's talk about the positives first. There is one - location. Nestled in the middle of a farm. Quiet and peaceful. Loved the surroundings. Also, the check in was quick.
The property itself is nothing to rave about. It's in desperate need of maintenance. Dust, spiders everywhere. TV doesn't work. Kettle leaks. Shower is super leaky and floods the bathroom. Half of the windows don't have blinds which means at 4 AM, it's filled with light.
The hostess seemed nice initially but kept insisting we pay cash so she can avoid paying taxes and fees. This was not mentioned at the time of the booking. Hotels.com charged me 27% in taxes and fees and she seemed to want to pocket it. We didn't have cash and she offered to accept card for an additional 5% fee. Absolutely ridiculous for an already expensive stay. She finally grudgingly accepted the payment through card. Plus she has this bad habit of talking over you. Does not want to listen to you anything you have to say.
Overall 2 star experience for 4 star prices. Wouldn't recommend."

From the beauty of the home and grounds, to the beauty and peacefulness of the private beach/waterfront, to the warm and welcoming nature of the hosts, we couldn’t be more pleased to have spent time here. I really don’t think we’ve had many better breakfasts; it’s really first rate and full of caring. Have it in the thatched roof pavilion down on the water. Nearby Svendborg offers wonderful shopping and dining. You will not regret visiting here - we highly recommend!"
"The owner did everything. He was the best traditional innkeeper I have ever encountered. He was very helpful with checking ferry times etc for us. My wife was looking for a nativity and he put us in contact with shopkeepers who might be able to help. The building itself had lots of character and history. Breakfast was excellent. "The hotel has a mix of apartments and regular rooms which are small but very well organized and up to date. Our bed was a comfortable king in a standard room which had a cathedral ceiling with a fan, no AC which was needed on day 1 our stay but not day2 ( early September). An extra fan was provided. Windows provided a lovely breeze.Location on the main square proved to be very quiet. An excellent restaurant - MUMM is around the corner. The hotel has a cafe that serves lunch and dinner. Breakfast is not extensive but tasty. We recommend this hotel."
