"With Palads hotel, it is all about the room you are going to get. One of their buildings is newer and has nicer rooms. Other buildings have moldy, smelly rooms that reek of mold and old age. We stayed in all of them as we were stuck in Viborg for a week due to a family emergency. "

"There is no internet at this hotel. Having arrived late on a Sunday evening I had to stand outside of a closed supermarket to use some free wifi. When contacting the hotel about internet access they responded "we are a hotel. Therefore no wifi" This was not only inconvenient, it created a major logistical issues. "The property itself is quite nice and we appreciated the continental breakfast (homemade buns, sandwich meat & cheese, butter, jam, juice). Staff were also very friendly and nice. The only downside is the room we booked in the basement was smaller than expected and a bit stuffy since there's no ventilation. Other rooms might be a bit more spacious. Was adequate for one night. "Te property is in excellent condition and it has clearly had an extensive refurbishment to a high standard. The check in was the easiest i can remember. On arrival the key was waiting for me. The room was very comfortable and had good WIfI access. Ther was a kitchenette and large TV/Games room with plenty of tea and coffee.

"To call this a hotel is a stretch, its more like a guesthouse. No reception on arrival, even though published as open to 6pm (which says it all!!). Restaurant not open on arrival Sunday evening, which I was awre of, but to be told Monday evening there is only one choice of meal......this is not a Restaurant! Like others, I think this is an over priced 'guesthouse' for what it offers, even the breakfast was very basic for the overall cost. The only positive comment I could make is that there was a fan in the room to provide some cooling."
