"Our castle stay was pretty amazing. Very modern rooms and the availability to roam the property made it a great stay. It was also very helpful that the staff spoke English and were so kind. A nice final touch was them sharing a bottle of their wine with us as we departed. A must do!"

We loved the common areas on the first and second floors-nice places to sit and read while waiting for other members of our party. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel offered a nice selection of foods in what I would call traditional German style. Lastly, the location of the hotel makes it easy to walk to the center of town, the kriminalsmuseum and other key areas. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we would definitely return if coming to Rothenberg in the future."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gastof Post! As a family of 5 (2 adults travelling with 3 teenagers) it is not easy to find accommodations where we can all be together, but our room was perfect! While not directly in the walled part of town, it isn’t even 10 minutes walk to get there, and it kept us out of some of the hustle and bustle. There is a lovely restaurant as well attached to the hotel.
If you have mobility concerns, it may not be the best option, as there is no elevator, but that fact was well advertised so we knew ahead of time that we would be climbing stairs, and that wasn’t a problem for us.

"I loved how it was right in the village. The staff was so friendly! The room was smaller, but I was alone and it’s all that I needed. The bird was comfortable and TV worked.
