"We rented the apartment at the top of the building and it was simply amazing. The elevator goes directly to the apartment on the 5th floor where there are no other rooms or apartments. The space is large and everything is very well equipped. Very good stay. The only problem is that it is 30 minutes from the lake so you need a car but we had a car. I also wish the parking was free. "Lake Constance is a wonderful area for vacations. The Plaza Hotel in Friedrichshafen is located a bit outside of downtown. Its a hotel with breakfast only. No restaurants nearby. Parking was a bit of a challenge at times, more cars than spaces. Breakfast buffet was excellent every day. The service was pleasant/friendly. "

Breakfast can get very hectic and there needs to be a better timed booking system and a system where people don't hang about reading newspapers - that can be done elsewhere (their room for instance!)
Water needs to be provided in take-away plastic bottles and not the glass/crown cap style at the moment.
A/C control needs much more improvement and the controls work correctly."

Only wrinkle is that the parking they give you is about 15 minutes away and the map they give you isn't very well marked. Take about 5 minutes to get your GPS set before leaving the small loading zone next to the hotel."

"The reception desk was located inside the Hotel Restaurant/Bar, which was a little surprising to us. Our key card to access the room was also used to activate lights, Air conditioning etc. in the room, which was unique. When walking through the corridor one would be listening to bird sounds and that was very nice and calming. Parking was available in a Parking Garage across the hotel for a fee collected by the hotel. Overall we had a great stay.
