"Seems like a nice hotel with good spa facilities. We had a non smoking room, but it stank of cigarettes and the bathroom smelt unclean. The hotel staff didn’t speak any English (I no we were in Germany but basic pleasantries would have been nice) so don’t expect any help. Didn’t complain about the smell in the room as unable to make ourselves understood."

"Direkt an einer stark befahrenen Straße gelegenes Hotel unser Zimmer war aber davon abgewand. Das Zimmer war ganz normal und sauber die Betten gut. Das Abendessen im Biergarten war einfach super, beim Frühstück hätte ich mir noch etwas mit Ei also Rührei mit Bacon oder Spiegelei gewünscht. Aber alles in allem eine gute Unterbringung für eine Nacht."

"Very safe as use a key card for the lift and main entrance after 10pm. Staff were wonderful and so friendly. Room immaculate and beds comfy. Beautiful views over the hills. Breakfast was excellent. "This was a conveniently located medium-budget hotel, a short distance from the beautiful centre of Gengenbach. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I enjoyed my stay there. The room decor could do with a refresh and the shower was a bit leaky, but apart from that, it fulfilled its purpose really well. It is a great place to stay in that, once parked up, you are a short stroll to a selection of fine restaurants."

Major pluses:
The kids had their own bedroom with proper beds (separate single beds and not sofa / pullout style);
**TWO** toilets!
Clothing storage in both bedrooms including hanging space;
Free self-serve coffee in the reception area;
Plush carpet and very large couch;

Parking comes at a small cost, and is very congested that is the only draw back. Your near several gas stations and a restaurant, and city of Rusk proper is less than a 10 minute drive. "

There are decently sized beds, toilet facilities, car park and opposite a good 24hr shell garage and Burger King. A downside was that there was no safe available, and the bathroom lock was missing.
The rooms get very hot in the warmer seasons, there’s no air-con but there was 2 fans provided and wide-opening windows.
Overall, it has what you need if you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep, but if you want more than a bed and hygiene, spend more elsewhere."
