Even when I was trying to make my way to a nearby boat for a trip, the staff not only knew where I needed to go, but actually walked with me outside and down the street to show me where it was (said it was a super nice day, let's walk). 100% would come back!"

"Received an upgraded room, very large, bed was comfortable. Large jetted tub, although there is distance between the toilet and bedroom, there is no door. Service is excellent, supper was tasty, buffet breakfast is sufficient with breads, meats, cheese, cereals. Outdoor space is pretty with trees and outdoor lights for the evening. Minor issues: The gym is very small, does not function well. Coffee is not 24 hours a day as indicated so if you are an early morning person, you must wait to get it. A fine place to stay!"

During our stay, the weather was quite hot and the room temperature rose a bit, but we requested a large fan and it was promptly provided. "I booked 1 room in Hotel Sonnenhof on 16th February, via Hotels.com, for a stay commencing on 28th May. Hotel sent me a message on 27th May that I was not in Hotel Sonnenhof in Timelkam, but at an apartment in Lenzing, 4.5km further away. No pre-warning was given, no rationale for the change in location, no option to cancel or reduction in rate was offered. I was very upset when I received the message on 27th May (the day before I was due to stay at the hotel). It was really inconvenient to be in a different location from my friend, and required that I drive back and forth from Timelkam to Lenzing multiple times. As I was only informed the day before the stay was due to start, I had no option to cancel and rebook elsewhere as nothing else was available. In addition, the apartment was in a poor location, not of a good quality, and the kitchen crockery was incomplete. The hotel reception was very slow to respond to communication, and only available in the mornings. Do not stay here - very poor service."

"Extraordinary hotel, like staying in a 18 century palace with modern conveniences. Building originally built as monastery in the 8 century. Beautiful lake town, but the hotel alone is worth the trip. All hotel staff were wonderful. Highly recommended."
