"Quiet property within a quiet neighbourhood. It's a short walk to the train station where you can connect easily to other towns and cities across The Netherlands. Clean bathroom and sleeping quarters. Would recommend staying here as the base for sleeping and then using the train station for exploring other areas."

"It was a pleasant place to stay. My granddaughter especially liked the horse theme upstairs. I wasn’t too keen to have to walk through the function room to get to our rooms. Luckily there was nothing happening while we were there."

"Stay was good and it's worth for the money we paid. Break fast was also amazing. For this cold winter time, it could have been nice if they have warm choco drink option especially for kids. "

"We stayed here before starting our hike on The Pieterpad, as it is right across the street. The room was sparse, but clean. The lighting was extremely dim - I could not read my book! The bedside lamps had yellow bulbs in them, and the ceiling fixture was also dim. The food in the adjoining cafe was good, and breakfast had everything we wanted."

"The staff were very helpful. The room was very good. The dinner was exceptionally good. We had the Dutch Cuisine prefixe.
The hotel location is excellent."
"At first, we were taken aback at the un-staffed hospitality concept but we got used to this after we checked in and found it an innovative option. There is always someone present behind the counter during breakfast hours and there are cleaners as well. The hotel has a contemporary, modern feel to it. The seating areas on the ground floor give it a safe and comfortable ambiance, almost like coming home after a day of sightseeing. The staff were well organised and friendly, always helpful. If there was one thing I would suggest, it would be to keep the carpet around the bed area properly vacuumed. Our room faced the street and although it can be noisy when we opened our windows for fresh air, we could also shut the double windows to maintain quiet inside. The hotel is close enough to the center of town and far away enough to avoid any hustle and bustle. Eating places, ATMs, grocery stores are all within walking distance. The Post Grand hotel next door is its parent company so there is also the option of eating at the restaurants there. We thoroughly enjoyed our 14-day stay! "

"We had a two night stay for a combined work and vacation stop in Groningen. This hotel was recommended to us by my local business contact and it was as good as imagined.
Outstanding service from the staff, great location in the heart of Groningen and a short walk to all of the nice restaurants and attractions, and comfortable rooms are all part of the offering.
The breakfast buffet is on par with most of the European deluxe class hotels. The rooms themselves are of average to slightly smaller sizes but good amenities inside the rooms.
If you’re traveling to Groningen this is the place to stay!"
"Beautiful property, well maintained with excellent staff. Restaurant was well worth the visit with excellent food and service. The only negative was that our room was a long ways from the elevator. We enjoyed our stay particularly as the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS PLACE"
"Friendly staff & very polite, hotel is situated in the center of Groningen & approximately a15min walk from the train station. Plenty of choices for breakfast, certain areas of the hotel are in need of decorating along with new carpets ( tripping hazard) did not see any wheelchair access "
"Since we didn't know where we were supposed to park our car, we had to walk inside and it was quite confusing during the rush hour at the restaurant. I was not able to find the reception desk so I walked through the hallway with no luck. When I found that it was inside the restaurant, I asked one of the employee about parking our car and she looked away from me. I assume that she wasn't the employee that I needed in the first place. It was quite confusing at the beginning. "
"The only complaints would be that the showers are very small (mine leaked heavily) and the carpets need a serious steam cleaning. Otherwise all linens and surfaces where clean and very friendly staff. Oh and a very nice breakfest."
"The place exceeded our expectations. Lawrence is a first class host. The place is really quirky and well worth the money. Leeuwarden is just a fantastic base in the north of the country and we made a visit to one of the Wadden Islands with a two hour ferry journey which was splendid. "
"I enjoyed my stay very much, the staff of the hotel made my stay very enjoyable. Easy to communicate and super friendly! Only thing that was tough was the hotel did not offer any face towels, or wash rags. They only had a a bath towel and what I assumed was a floor mat towel. But outside of that the stay was perfect! Would definitely stay in this hotel again "
