"The hotel was wonderful in that we had 5 people in one room. The shuttle was seemless in giving us a ride from the airport after returning our rental car in the evening and then the next morning to fly out. The free breakfast was excellent. Be aware there is no air conditioning, but having our window open cooled the room well. "

"This is an old building directly fronting the lake and adjacent to the ferry terminal. A short walk to the central square and there is also a bus stop right outside the gates.
Service good from the friendly staff. Food offer quite high end. There is a lounging area they cal the beach, with a jetty to swim in the lake which was surprisingly warm in August.
The bathroom was a delightful trip back to the early 1980s but on the whole, the positioning on the lake and the views are outstanding."
"Great affordable hotel if you need one by the airport. I’ve stayed twice now traveling in and out of Milan and they have a shuttle for a few Euros from and to the airport. Very nice and helpful staff. I realized I had booked the shuttle for the wrong time at 3 am and went down to the desk and the staff changed it for me with a smile. Very clean and comfortable accommodations! "
"Wow a villa right near the airport, but with no airport noise! What an amazing building and beautiful gardens and surrounds. One minute from Malpensa airport meant we could drop a person leaving on a 5am and come back and go back to bed. Breakfast was imcluded and amazing hot and cold selections. "A newly renovated and gorgeous hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Just steps from the funicular, this hotel was perfect for our stay in Lugano and exploring the surrounding region. The included Ticino ticket is a nice bonus but the value is in the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and beds and the premier food and drinks. I slept so well, even with a bruised ribcage. The included breakfast is really delicious with everything one could need to fill up and start the day. The restaurant and bar, Flamel, is incredible. The house cocktails are a must try that will change your perception of what a cocktail should be. The dinner is first class and every dish is a work of art.
An extra special touch is the foosball table in the lobby near the bar so we could have drinks while the kids played. I can't wait to go back and stay at this hotel again!"

My only negative was that the AC was weak, the towel rack in the bathroom was at shoulder heights and me and spouse kept hitting our heads, the the shower pan floor was super slippery and the shower head was poorly placed. Overall though, worth the price based on amenities and location. Walking distance to the lake and self-serve laundry which was great for us. "
