"Went from lassi to skala for a night with my wife to escape the kids and grandchildren the hotel owner met us there lovely guy very helpful, very clean and comfortable and price was good only downside i can say is because its an older hotel its a bit of an echo chamber and you can hear every bump and bang"

It is a 40 walk from Skala but there is an excellent and cheap hotel shuttle and the walk itself was lovely."

"Beautiful location. Nothing nearby as far as restaurants go so a car is ideal. They have a shuttle few times a day that you pay one way for. There is a small pebble beach which is really gorgeous for a swim and snorkel right by the parking lot.
Breakfast is nice, lots of choices. Coffee machine worked by the third day but was quite slow for the amount of people wanting coffee. So that was a little backed up every time.
They had a few kettles with black coffee but only one espresso coffee...

"Beautiful property. Away from the town, yet only 5 minutes away, which made it perfect. It was very clean and the room comfortable. The beds not so soft but it could be dealt with. Not all the staff was very friendly but those that were made up for everyone else. The spa was small but really good. Venia and Eli were great and so attentive to our needs. They do not offer hair services but when I told Vania I had a wedding to attend, she went above and beyond to make sure to do my hair.
Overall I would give a 9 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again!

Room has a fully furnished kitchen and a welcoming balcony! pool area is super well maintained and has enough chairs for all guests! Food is amazing and super tasty (until 9 pm only). Beautiful views and sunsets! kristina helped us reserve a private boat to Zakynthos and is super knowledgeable! Hotel is close to two beaches, small markets, 15 min to a bigger grocery store!! "The owner was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was situated on the main road of Lassi so easy for walking to the shops and restaurants . It has access to a beach and bar down a track and also a short walk from the main beach in Lassi. We had a fantastic stay for a week and will return again without a doubt. "

"Located a few minutes drive from the airport, with impressive 180 degree views over the ocean and airport. Have an aerial view of planes landing and taking off. Due to the height of the hotel, there is no issue with noise. The pool is one of the best. A decent length and width. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and spacious, the only small negative was that they smell a little musty."
"The suite was in a super convenient, yet quiet area. We felt safe at night walking down the street to a little restaurant nearby.
My adult daughter slept on the comfy couch bed in the living room, so they prepared it with nice sheets and bedding. We were each able to have our separate spaces at night with our own tv’s and privacy.
The hotel helped us with transportation from the ferry port by connecting us directly with a taxi company and letting us know what a fair rate was for the ride ahead of time. They also helped us arrange for an ATV rental, which was dropped off and picked up directly to and from the hotel. SUCH a fun way to see the island!
We didn’t cook while we were there, but the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you’d need. Super clean and comfortable.

Room was well cleaned. Beds were comfy and the views are amazing from our rooms but since it’s on a hillside many rooms probably had a great view. Family rooms meant connecting doors which was great! Fridges were not working very well and had lots of ice in them which meant the door didn’t close well anymore. But maybe that was an oversight.
They have laundry service. I could fill a large laundry sack I got from the front dezk, paid $20 and they washed it for me, put it back in my room folded nicely the same day !!! Amazing vacation Luxery when traveling light,to have this option!

"I stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip. I needn’t have worried as I had an amazing week. The resort/village and apartments were both fantastic and the staff at Barefoot Contessa/Hemingways were always really friendly and helpful: Dimitra, Olga and Spiros and co.
The apartment was really lovely and clean. Comfortable and nicely furnished. Good shower and bathroom. It has everything you would need including a small oven/grill and two rings - although I didn’t actually cook as there are a small number of good restaurants very near by including Hemingways bay-restaurant just a few seconds walk away.
The apartment is literally a stone’s throw from a really beautiful beach - mainly sandy with crystal clear waters and backed by the most beautiful mountainous scenery. It is literally 2 mins walk from the apartment - possibly less!
The village itself is beautiful and was not at all crowded. It suits anyone looking for a quiet, scenic and relaxing break from daily life. I would thoroughly recommend Barefoot Contessa. "
