Only reachable by train which we could not make because of cargo train derailment!! Owners do not answer phone much. We could reach them only once and they never answered afterwards when we were stranded in Myrdal. They never even texted us back. They offered no real solution nor were particularly friendly. Too...

The colors, the fabrics, the furniture, and the bathroom were from another era. The beds were very cozy and comfortable. The view from our window was breathtaking. It was hard to pull ourselves away from looking out over the amazing mountains and valley below. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the large dining room. They offer a very large choice of delicious foods at the dinner buffet and at breakfast. The hotel also has a very nice shop which sells good quality clothing, lovely gifts, and souvenirs. "

"This is a mountain lodge - rustic conditions outside, but you'll find a very comfy bed on the inside. Stayed in the hotel and had two twin beds with comforters. I am hot-blooded so the Comforter was a bit much for me, but my wife was cold with one, so she asked for another. Shower was excellent and powerful! Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was a Nordic continental. Cured Fish, Cold Cuts/Cheese, H.B.Eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and jams, etc. Healthy and it will keep you full while hiking. A bit out of the way, but isn't that what we are looking for in the wilderness? If it wan't so far from the US, I would be staying here on all of my hiking adventures."

"A most stunning location with beautiful views of the fjord. Everything in the house was top notch and well thought through. The kitchen had all the necessary gadgets, utensils and crockery. The living room had very plush comfortable sofas. The beds were comfortable. The linen and towels were clean and neat.
The only thing that was a bit odd was that such a big house for 8 people had only 1 bathroom. There were 2 toilets though, which is a good thing. Parking place just next to the house. Overall, I would still give it a 10/10."
