"Vik I Myrdal is a small community, with a fair amount of options for lodging. It's location along the Ring Road makes it a desirable location to spend the night. We spent two nights. My wife and I think this may have been the most comfortable bed during our two weeks in Scotland and Iceland. The view from the hotel, primarily the back of the property, is absolutely stunning. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant, opting to dine "in town". The breakfast options were plentiful and tasty. Also, the staff are all super friendly and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend spending the night, or two, or more!"

"What a wonderful place to stay. You have in the background a cliff or rock with three waterfalls and you look out to the ocean ! We took advantage of the outdoor hot tub with the views. The room had three beds and a kitchenette. Very clean room. We were able to make some food and take advantage of the free lettuce from the garden and cakes made by the owner. There are also two lovely dogs always around on site. We definitely recommend. "

"This small Inn was located in a lovely setting with a great view of the Westman Islands. The staff were so gracious and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic - especially the mussels and the bread! The spa with hot tub and sauna were terrific. A great experience for the equestrians with trail rides available! "We loved our stay in a glamping tent here. It was the perfect chill out between hiking the laugavegur and fimmvorduhals trails. The little sauna is great after hiking, the staff were so helpful and the trails in the area are fantastic. Walk the orange trail, the glacier views are amazing! "

"I spent six nights in this guesthouse during a July 2025 photography tour with some friends. The apartment was clean, neat, quiet, and well suited for one or two people (I was solo.) Sitting about 8 miles west of Vik there was a great view of the ocean whcih was several miles away. The owners stopped by a few times to see if I needed anything--I didn't but appreciated their attention. The kitchenette was fine for me but I would recommend the owners put in a microwave to warm up prepared foods from the nearby grocery store. There is a two-burner stove top, which I didn't use, an electric kettle, a toaster, and a coffee maker and of course a small refrigerator. There is a dishwasher but I didn't use it. The bathroom has a heated floor which was quite nice on cool mornings. Overall, I give it 4/4 stars and if I'm in the Vik area again, I would definitely stay here."

"Great place with spacious rooms. Floor in the main lobby is also heated. Showers/bathrooms are clean with good water pressure. Check out time is a bit early which is the only downside (10am)"
