"Lovely little lodge, nice & clean, had everything we needed for a one night stay. Great view from the the lodge overlooking the countryside & very peaceful. The instructions were easy to follow & the grounds of the lodge & main house were beautiful. Walking distance to a nice pub for food.
We didn't meet the owners as it's a self check in & out."

"Very cozy hotell close to the Lanes and Brighton pier. It took us only a few minutes walk to reach the Lanes.
Very friendly staff, clean room/bathroom, and continental breakfast included. You can order full English breakfast if you like, you need to pay extra for this.
We arrived by car and parked in a carpark 20 minutes walk away.

"The hotel was just a short walk from the beach front and a number of restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself was nicely decorated, check in was a breeze. The room was a little compact but comfortable. I had data issues in my room."

"Expected a room like the one depicted in photos. The room was nice, but small, with no aircon. Paid for parking voucher, but no parking available so paid for NCP parking. The wording of “off-street parking” should be changed, as that is not the case."

"Was there on business, took partner, paid for a sea view, but the ground floor flat next to front door didn’t have a sea view unless you put your head against the window on the ground floor next to public walking on the pathway. Was close to the sea and the town centre and pier, with lots to do in the area"

"Great stay and location!
Thing to remember is there is no elevator/lift. It’s all stairs so if you’re on the 4th floor you have a good climb.
Staff was friendly and excellent!!"

"Love Drakes. The rooms are staring to look a little tired, but the staff are always a complete delight, and I’d never want to stay anywhere else"

"The hotel was excellent clean and tidy the breakfast was great and plenty of it the room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful like to mention Louis he couldn’t be more helpful definitely go back "
"When we checked in Nancy and Rachel greeted us with warmth and kindness. We loved the atmosphere… probably not for everyone but we freakin loved it. Was one of the most memorable and fun hotels we’ve ever visited.. and we traveled quite a bit as I’m retired from major airline.
Great breakfast and we felt like we were quite at home.. if we return to Brighton… absolutely go back❤️"
"Down in Brighton for business and needed something reasonably priced and central. The Ibis was both of these! Clean, nice room, friendly staff and great location. "
"We stayed 3 nights and found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room; a luxury double was clean and the bed lovely and comfortable. We only had breakfast one day but there was a good choice and nice quality sausage and bacon. We would definitely go back."
"Great location for a quick trip. Hotel is good location by the sea about 10 mins walk from train station. Nice little room at the top of the house which was greatly decorated and good view over the square out to sea. Can imagine the room gets hot on a nice day. Breakfast was nice.
Was four floor walk up the stairs or a very slow lift. But expected in a period property."
"High quality fittings and fixtures in bed and spacious bathroom. Lovely shower with clearly marked toiletries. Nice little extras (e.g. a fan and clothes brush). Neat tea/coffee making area. Double aspect in both bed and bathroom (that’s a first!). The staff and receptionist are cheerful, helpful and friendly and the location of the hotel on the beach with its gorgeous terrace is perfect. Breakfast: Eggs Benedict cooked perfectly, lovely pastries and fresh bed - plus plus. Next job is to find out how much the rooms with the balconies overlooking the sea are…. All 5 star, no minuses. Thank you for a lovely stay.
"
"Great place to spend a few days, the room was excellent, spacious and clean and the staff were always happy to help with any questions as we had 2 children with us. Would happily stay here again, thanks Osbourne Apartments."
"My family and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and supportive. We enjoyed using the sauna and the indoor pool. It was cleaned and smelt wonderful. For breakfast, there was a wide range of options to choose from. The location is ideal close to restaurants the Sea life aquarium and Brighton Pier. As a guest it was great that we got a discount for parking. "
"We loved, loved, loved this hotel and would definitely stay again if back in Eastbourne. It was a last minute trip and quite unplanned so I booked based on others great feedback and we have to agree.
Easy parking was followed by such a lovely warm welcome and quick checkin. They have a beautiful old and original lift int he hotel with metal shutters and a seat which was lovely. However what was even nicer was the fact that you are taken to your room to check you are happy with it.
The staff at every contact were friendly and the place spotlessly clean. We would have been very happy had we been staying longer. Another nice touch was the offer of a complimentary glass of wine int he bar at 6pm as a welcome to the hotel. Whilst we couldnt take advantage it was touches like this that made the place feel out of the ordinary and a little more special.
Everything about the hotel showed tradition and elegance.
Well dont to the team working at this hotel - you are doing a great job!!!"
"Was in Brighton to see Eric Prydz concert. Needed somewhere straight forward to stay. This hotel is good - Clean, modern and friendly staff. I think the other negative reviews are quite harsh"
"From the moment we arrived all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Our room was of a good size, lovely views and very clean.
We had an evening meal in the dining room, which was of excellent quality. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely.
We were not disappointed, in fact Hotel and staff exceeded our expectations.
The grounds, including the country club, it’s worth walking around. The Ashdown Forest is a very beautiful setting , lots of walks."
