"Fantastic stay. Staff have excellent customer service skills, we were greeted with a personalised check in, welcome drink, no queuing. All staff, without exception, from the start to the end of our stay, were friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely overlooking one of the lakes, comfy bed and Rituals toiletries, with bathtub and wet room, and a generous sized balcony to enjoy the view with a tea or a coffee in the morning. The property is immaculately maintained, beautiful gardens and clean, like-new swimming pools. The food was also faultless- European or Asian options in the two restaurants do breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks and (really good, espresso Cimbali machines) coffee available anytime. I would stay with them again. The only downside is the nearby local beach (Cenang) is not clean or pretty, but for a 20’ ride you can go anywhere in the island - Tanjung Rhu is stunning. Recommended!"

"Beautiful beachfront low density hotel. Staff were unbelievably attentive, nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. The food was excellent. The room was spotless. The common areas were really well maintained. I've read some reviews criticising the jet skis at the front of the hotel on the beach. Quite frankly whoever complains about that are just looking for something to complain about. They didn't detract from the hotel at all. The beach is not busy at the front of the hotel either. The hotel kindly put a bottle of red wine in our room to enjoy as a thank you, which was so very kind and unexpected. Whilst there were a few families staying at the hotel it is more geared to adults. All in all it was a fabulous stay, looked after by amazing staff. Thank you so much "

"From the moment we arrived and warmly welcomed it was clear to us that this was more than just a hotel, it was a luxury experience. The resort was absolutely beautiful, the staff utterly amazing and the service impeccable. I have stayed in many resorts and hotels, often on the higher end of the scale, but nothing has come close to this. Simply put, it is the best hotel I have every stayed in, period. A huge personal thank you goes out to Torun, Zia and Prakash from Housekeeping, Suhayl and the Horizon Pool and Bar Team, and last but certainly not least, the entire staff at the Langkawi Kitchen. Staying here was the absolute standout highlight of a beautiful 2 week vacation in Malaysia, and we look forward to staying here again in the future. A beautiful experience that we both will remember for a very long time."

"Really enjoyed my stay at Bayou. Staff were amazing. Room was clean with all the facilities (including kettle & iron board for those insane people who like to iron on holidays). Breakfast was great, both western & malay, different options everyday, including omelette station. Walking distance to beaches, restaurants and duty free. Only slight downside was pool is wading only... but that is the only minimal. Would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was clean and contemporary. It was sea facing and situated quite nicely to the best sunset view, fire show, food and shopping. The prices in Langkawi are much more reasonable. The hotel wasn't secluded, and I couldn't have picked a better hotel in langkawi. The hotel extended our check out till 2pm, which meant we could sleep in, rest, and feel more relaxed. "The accommodation was great, the Beach Villa was like a dream, beautiful and clean with a sea view. The outdoor bathroom was also a nice touch, very comfortable. The only thing I was disappointed with was the mess and rubbish in the area and near the beach."

"Everyone is very happy and friendly. There are staff constantly cleaning the public areas. The bed is very comfortable. The pool is open great hours 8am - 8pm. The pool is very very clean even after the rain. I say that because I checked out of my accommodation early due to their two pools being green the whole time I was there and unusable and they kept telling me it was because of the rain. 🙄 the pool here is really big. There’s lots of poolside beds. You can get drinks by the pool. You can get some snacks by the pool. Everybody is extremely helpful. I couldn’t compliment it more."

"Our recent stay in July 2025 at Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi was truly exceptional and one of the finest resort experiences we've had as a family. The room was amazing—spotlessly clean, well-furnished, and incredibly comfortable. The front desk team, especially Ms. Fiza, was respectful, humble, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. There was another gentleman at reception, unfortunately i missed his name. We did face a small concern as there was no lift access to the 3rd floor, which was challenging for our family. Thankfully, Mr. Hakimin from the team was very understanding and quickly arranged a comfortable room on a lower level. His prompt support was much appreciated and showed the resort’s dedication to guest comfort. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, offering a wonderful variety of Malaysian dishes—from freshly baked items to roti canai, custom egg omelets, and more. The entire team at the breakfast hall was warm and attentive. We were especially impressed when the General Manager, Mr. Hafiz, personally visited guest tables to ensure everyone was taken care of—a rare and thoughtful gesture. The pool was another standout experience. It was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing with our family. In summary, Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi provided top-notch service, warm hospitality, and memorable moments throughout our stay. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Langkawi and would love to return in the future. "

"Amazing place, with a true resort feel. Beautiful pool, private beach kept clean, seaview room was perfect. Staff we're so friendly & helpful. Hiking around the island was awesome, we saw heaps monkeys, lizards, birds etc Boat transfer to the mainland is frequent, if you can drag yourself from paradise "

"Our favourite stop on our 3.5 week malaysia holiday. Has a very relaxed feel, immaculate gardens, long thin warm pool and the staff are excellent. Food was amazing so much so we ate there every night but one when we went to the night market. Hotel can deliver car to you for 100MR (£17) for 24 hours and arrange other trips. Cats are around if you dont like but are friendly - my son wanted to take one home! Did hear the prayer call about 5.30am which woke me up but to be expected on island. Also near airport so will be some plane noise but not very often. "

"Really amazing place. If you are up for a super relaxing stay, Ambong Pool Villas is a great option. Super helpful staff are reachable via WhatsApp all day to provide service and advice. You can choose meals in your villa or in the resort restaurant. The villas are meticulously cleaned twice a day, including the pools (to remove leaves etc). The view of the surrounding environment from inside the villa is enhanced by huge windows that face the pool. Lots to observe, both flora and fauna. Villa 1 (Kemarong) was our villa, which offered amazing views of the bay and islands. It was also a great spot for sunset and moonrise. "
