"Stunning setting and what we thought was going to be an amazing stay. Might be our fault for going to a hotel in the first week but as the week went on, the following happened:
- charged £700 more because we booked via Expedia - why has this happened?
- no systems internally are working, everything was difficult
- washing took 2.5 days to happened, when we called up and asked where it was, they said they would find it and ring back but no response till we called the following morning "

"Really lovely villas and large pools. Could do with slightly more foliage in between villa terraces for added privacy and the cleaner should sweep when changing towels etc..other than that the owners were extremely friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here. Definitely need to rent a car. "

"If you want to relax and get away from the crowded commercial areas, this Is the perfect place. We stayed in the purple villa and had a lot of space between the three of us. The views are spectacular and you can see all down to the beach and up to the mountains. The people managing the villas are very kind and helpful and are happy to answer any question. "Just back from a fantastic stay in Georgiopoulis, loved our stay at the Athena Hotel, lovely family run hotel, friendly, spotlessly clean, lovely swimming pool area. Only tiny problem was the shower pressure some evenings was very low but not a big problem. Will definitely stay again"

"The hotel is perfect for a beachy, chilled holiday if that’s what you enjoy. The small town has some shops etc which is good and Chania is only a 30 minute drive away along with Souda which are beautiful towns.
Especially the Chania markets! A must go to if you love a bargain!
The hotel could be somewhat more clear on what is included etc. The hotel is amazing so don’t let that put you off but we were told the tourist charge was €10 euro per room, per night, which is correct but we were also charged extra and we’re unsure really what that was for.
Also we have been twice to this hotel, the first time when booking we had the option available to go all inclusive plus but the second time that option wasn’t available until we arrived at the hotel and it was quite steep compared to the first time we visited the hotel and with not much difference to the basic all inclusive package. After all a gin and tonic is a gin and tonic be that from the local gin or branded big name gin.
Overall though, lovely place to stay and the staff are amazing! So helpful and super polite! Will absolutely be back again! "
