"The property was fine and clean. Parking in this area this time of a year is difficult. I booked a compact room and that’s what it was. Bedroom was fine but bathroom and shower were very small.Staff especially front desk are very polite and accommodating.Have stayed here many times and never disappointed. Breakfast is always good ❤️🇬🇷"

"Beautiful property. Away from the town, yet only 5 minutes away, which made it perfect. It was very clean and the room comfortable. The beds not so soft but it could be dealt with. Not all the staff was very friendly but those that were made up for everyone else. The spa was small but really good. Venia and Eli were great and so attentive to our needs. They do not offer hair services but when I told Vania I had a wedding to attend, she went above and beyond to make sure to do my hair. Overall I would give a 9 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again! Thank you to the staff that made our stay so great!!!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sami Beach Hotel. We’d booked 3 nights at the hotel but ended up staying for 10 nights as we were massively let down by the villa owner on the day of arrival in Kefalonia (we’d booked 5 months prior). Caroline on reception and owner Spiro couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely family run hotel. 20 minutes walk to supermarket and restaurants on the seafront. However the restaurant in the square, few minutes walk is very good and great atmosphere. Would suggest a car to explore other beaches. Alternatively “Hop On” boat hire just by the hotel is run by a nice couple so you can explore the coast and go to beaches than cars are unable to. Would recommend this hotel to friends & family. "

"What a fantastic place! We come to Greece every summer and this is our first time here at this hotel. It is beautiful, the view is outstanding and so are the rooms and surrounding areas like the main pool and beach bar. The staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating even with a large group like us. We made use of all of the facilities inside and out. The breakfast was perfect before we headed off to the beach. We had dinner here one night as well, which we really enjoyed. As a Greek family from Canada we loved that this is a family run place too! Thanks so much and we will definitely be back!"

"Our family had a great experience for 7 nights at Avithos resort. super close to the airport (9 minute), excellent location! Room has a fully furnished kitchen and a welcoming balcony! pool area is super well maintained and has enough chairs for all guests! Food is amazing and super tasty (until 9 pm only). Beautiful views and sunsets! kristina helped us reserve a private boat to Zakynthos and is super knowledgeable! Hotel is close to two beaches, small markets, 15 min to a bigger grocery store!! Absolutely recommend it!!!"

"The owner was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was situated on the main road of Lassi so easy for walking to the shops and restaurants . It has access to a beach and bar down a track and also a short walk from the main beach in Lassi. We had a fantastic stay for a week and will return again without a doubt. "

"We had a lovely holiday here and will definitely book again - shame they are full for the rest of this year or we would be back later this summer! Excellent hosts- especially Zefie and Lea - who make you feel very welcome. Rooms are basic but comfortable - which is reflected in the star rating/room rate, they are spotlessly cleaned everyday and have everything you need including air conditioning (included in the price). Pool was great - especially with an ice cold Mythos from the pool bar! Great location - close to the beach and a short walk into the centre of Skala."

"Located a few minutes drive from the airport, with impressive 180 degree views over the ocean and airport. Have an aerial view of planes landing and taking off. Due to the height of the hotel, there is no issue with noise. The pool is one of the best. A decent length and width. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and spacious, the only small negative was that they smell a little musty."

"A lovely little hotel in the port of Kefalonia. Comfortable room, good air con, nice breakfast. The staff were very friendly, offering tips on where to go and booking taxis. We ate at the hotel one evening and it was a nice meal, reasonably priced. "

"Beautiful location. Nothing nearby as far as restaurants go so a car is ideal. They have a shuttle few times a day that you pay one way for. There is a small pebble beach which is really gorgeous for a swim and snorkel right by the parking lot. Breakfast is nice, lots of choices. Coffee machine worked by the third day but was quite slow for the amount of people wanting coffee. So that was a little backed up every time. They had a few kettles with black coffee but only one espresso coffee machine for coffee with milk. Lots of egg options, yogurt with lots of topping options, different breads, loafs, croissants, pastries, fruit, cold and hot meats, juice, milk, coffee and tea.. it was busy however staff was amazing ! Cleaning up for you and constantly adding more food. Very well done! It was quite hot while we were there but the AC worked well. Room was well cleaned. Beds were comfy and the views are amazing from our rooms but since it’s on a hillside many rooms probably had a great view. Family rooms meant connecting doors which was great! Fridges were not working very well and had lots of ice in them which meant the door didn’t close well anymore. But maybe that was an oversight. They have laundry service. I could fill a large laundry sack I got from the front dezk, paid $20 and they washed it for me, put it back in my room folded nicely the same day !!! Amazing vacation Luxery when traveling light,to have this option! All in all a lovely stay, kind staff, great place"

"I stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip. I needn’t have worried as I had an amazing week. The resort/village and apartments were both fantastic and the staff at Barefoot Contessa/Hemingways were always really friendly and helpful: Dimitra, Olga and Spiros and co. The apartment was really lovely and clean. Comfortable and nicely furnished. Good shower and bathroom. It has everything you would need including a small oven/grill and two rings - although I didn’t actually cook as there are a small number of good restaurants very near by including Hemingways bay-restaurant just a few seconds walk away. The apartment is literally a stone’s throw from a really beautiful beach - mainly sandy with crystal clear waters and backed by the most beautiful mountainous scenery. It is literally 2 mins walk from the apartment - possibly less! The village itself is beautiful and was not at all crowded. It suits anyone looking for a quiet, scenic and relaxing break from daily life. I would thoroughly recommend Barefoot Contessa. "

"I won't repeat all the positive comments left by other guests. We agree with them all. The 3 things that we particularly loved about this hotel were the pool area, the pool bar, and the bed! The pool area is as nice as any 5 star hotel we have stayed in. Spacious and clean. The view is hard to beat. The pool bar has a great vibe all day long, even into the evening. The bed was soft and comfortable just as we like it. This hotel was a great find. "
