Been visiting for over 50 years and it's my favourite small city in England. Lots to do and most of it within walking distance. Always enjoy a visit to my favourite independent book shop (Mr. B's). Visited for the Bach Festival this time - amazing!

Bath is a beautiful town. We love visiting, pottering around the shops, sitting in the parade gardens or outside the shops on a sunny day. Plenty of bookshops, cafes and theatre for not so sunny days. One of my favourite places to stay in England.

Apart from the Roman Baths (amazing) & the Georgian streets & bridge's & buildings, Bath is THE best city to do your Christmas shopping, or any shopping. They not only have all the usual big brands but a myriad of independent boutiques.

"It was a very pleasant stay. Very convenient to city center. Lots of restaurants in the area. Staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. The only difficult part was I came in by car service. We spent a half-hour trying to drive up to the hotel. He finally dropped me at the corner and I walked-which was very easy. "
"Hotel was good, could’ve done with extra loo rolls !! Reasonable walk into town centre . Lovely breakfast . Overall good stay but not convinced we were in the classic king room as booked ( room 16)"
"Beautiful little boutique hotel! Renovations are still ongoing but has no impact on the stay. Alex, the greeter, was full of valuable information including history and restaurant recs. Would absolutely stay here again!"
"Beds we very comfortable. Good quality sheets and duvet, perfectly pressed. We had two rooms. One with a balcony overlooking the river. Well worth the extra cost for before and after dinner river watching and early morning. The second room was labelled cosy double but had plenty of room. Staff very friendly and good menus. I really like that atmosphere. It’s relaxed and classy at the same time. "
"The employees at this Hotel were amazingly helpful, friendly, courteous and pleasant. Loved our stay here - my only little quibble I had was that the room I booked was on the small side. We just missed having a wardrobe."

"The hotel is beautiful Victorean property. The location is idyllic between the hills. The only issue was the narrow entrance and the lack of parking due to the tour buses the used 4 parking spots. Other than that, the hotel was a hit. I would definitely stay again. "
"A super place to stay for our first trip to Bath. Liz was a very welcoming host and very helpful during our stay. Our rooms were comfortable and spotless and had great facilities.
