"I stayed for a week during a conference. The hotel staff is exceptionally hospitable. I got the feeling that they genuinely care. They helped arrange a diving trip and book taxies. Airport pickup, laundry service, and breakfast were all satisfactory. The room was basic but clean and functional. The location is great too: close to the fish market and there were plenty of stores around. I highly recommend this place. "

"Easily accessible by 15-20 minute speedboat transfer. Warm hospitality and impeccable service. Breakfast menus change each day. Dinner inclusion in half-board is different each night so get to try different cuisine. Same butler (Mr/Ms Friday) throughout the entire stay which is great. Crystal clear turquoise water, very beautiful. Highly recommended and I would love to return to Gili in the near future."

"Only one thing not good was the window was already cracked when we arrived. The resort should replace it because it does not seem safe to leave a cracked window for your guests."

"Good: Comfortable bed, helpful and kind staff, all advertised amenities and more (a plug converter), good signage, close to shops. Not that good: The sprayers of the soap and shampoo bottles were too tight, not suitable for those liquids. The room smells humid when no air-conditioning, location is far from jetties, but as Male is a small island, it's not that big of a deal."

They must be nitpickers who expect to have the conditions from One and Only Reethi Rah (the neighbouring island) at the prices from the Summer Island. Come on, you could stay there only one hour with the money you paid for two weeks at the Summer Island. All is more than reasonable at the Summer Island, I mean the location, the meals, the staff, snorkelling and diving opportunities. "
